FOUR EVENTS IN ONE DAY

Tomorrow is going to be an amazing day for sky lovers because four astronomical events unfold within 24hrs.
Sooooo......here's the timeline!!!

✨️BEFORE DAWN
About 4.50am just before sunrise, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will appear spread along the ecliptic so from Earth we will see them gathered over a broad pathway with Mars and Saturn the easiest to see.

With this gathering of outer and inner planets it us good to reflect on the different parts of yourself in terms of communicaton, action, growth discipline, intuition and your willingness to change and grow in those areas.

✨️ THE SOLAR ECLIPSE
This starts around 6pm UK time and this is when we see the Moon move across the face of the Sun as a partial eclipse.

At its peak, an eclipse thins Earth’s magnetic field, cutting ozone and opening cracks in the magnetosphere.
Through these cracks, streams of solar and cosmic rays pour more directly into us… not just from our Sun, but from stars beyond and from the deep reaches of space itself.
Ancient mystics marked eclipses as potent thresholds. The veil thins, the body’s subtle field is more permeable, and what we think, speak, and intend can imprint more deeply. Ritual at such a time is not performance but precision… words become spells, thoughts become seeds.

✨️ DARK MOON IN LEO
At 6.36pm the moon is 100% dark as there is no illumination from the Sun hitting its surface and the Eclipse happens BECAUSE...it is a Dark Moon but the difference us the alignment.

Leo is a fixed Fire sign and is ruled by the Sun which is our identity, our courage.....creativity, vitality, leadership and how you radiate your confidence.
This symbolism is interesting during an Eclipse as Leo's ruler...the Sun is temporsrily obscure

So maybe ask yourself.....
✨️Where am i genuinely being myself and what traits of Leo am I hiding from myself or others.✨️

✨️AFTER DARK
The Perseid meteor shower reaches its peak with potentially 50 to 100 Meteors visible per hour with clear dark skies, with the Meteors radiating from the constellation Perseus.
Perseus represents courage with the meteor shower asking us to reflect on what we are finally prepared to face, rather than continuing to avoid.

✨️ DARK MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE & PERSEIDS
What are you ready to burn away and what are you ready to reveal???
For me....tomorrow isn't about anything dramatic, no rituals, just reflection to realign.
The morning asks you to look at the different forces operating within your life, the Eclipse asks you to look at what is or has been obscured or hidden from view, then the Dark Moon asks you to go inward and reflect.
Leo asks whether you're living authentically. And the Perseids provide a beautiful natural reminder that release is part of every cycle.
So perhaps tomorrow's question is simply.....

WHAT NEEDS TO FALL AWAY FOR YOU TO LIVE MORE COMPLETELY AS YOURSELF?

🌾LAMMAS LUGHNASADH 🌾

Today.......Saturday the 1st August is the Anglo Saxon Christian feast day of Lammas (Loaf Mass).
This celebration is derived from the medieval English festival the Gule of August, a pagan celebration of the first fruits that the early English church later converted to Christian usage.
The Gule of August looks to hold its roots in the much older celebration of Lughnasadh.

In the wheel of the year, the pagan festival Lughnasadh (p**n: Loo nas ah) is mostly celebrated today......although the date of this festival is up for debate due to the gregorian calendar, as, traditionally the Celts would have followed the moon cycles, celebrating Lughnasadh the 2nd Dark Moon after solstice which is Wednesday 12th August...the Dark Moon in Leo which will also be a Solar Eclipse.

Lughnasadh in short, commemorates the god Lugh and marks the beginning of the harvest season, the ripening of first fruits, and is a time of celebration and gathering of communities and sharing their first fruits of their labour's.

However you observe this day, or even if you decide to wait until The Leo Solar Eclipse Dark Moon on the 12th.....it is a day of gratitude for the continual provision that the Earth provides. A recognition of the times of abundance, and an honouring of the natural flow of the seasons and the cycles of birth, growth and death.

This time can be traditionally honoured by baking a fresh loaf (I cheat and buy a nice seeded crusty loaf). It symbolises the first grains of the initial harvest. Gather with family and friends and local seasonal foods like berries, corn, apples, and honey cakes. I like to gather some of what is growing in my garden at the moment. And of course.....give gratitude and pause before eating to thank the earth for its seasonal abundance.

Other traditional activities is to weave dried corn husks or wheat sheaves into protective figures to keep in the home.
Set up your altar (traditionally a Celts altar was the hearth in the home....the central part of the home and the heart. Or outdoors it would be a type of fire pit. Other communal altars were called Nemeta and were outdoor sacred groves.) These would be decorated with gold, green, and deep yellow colors, alongside garden vegetables, corn, and sunflowers.

Today at 10.43am GMT, the Moon enters her Dark phase at 21° Cancer.
 
The Dark Moon occurs when the Moon stands between the Earth and the Sun.
From our perspective she disappears into darkness, marking the final pause before a new lunar cycle begins. Like the depths of winter, this is a time for rest, reflection and renewal. The previous cycle has come to completion and we pause before new intentions begin to take shape.

This Dark Moon falls in Cancer, a cardinal water sign that welcomes a new season of growth. Cancer governs our emotional landscape, intuition, home and our need for safety and belonging. Water teaches us to flow, how to move freely so life is nourished.
When life is stagnant or overwhelming, it invites us to gently restore balance.

At 00.56am tomorrow.....Tuesday the 30th the Moon is at 100% illumination and at her fullest

᯽A Full moons energy is likened to the height of summer.....everything in full bloom, plentiful, fragrant and ripe.
It has quite a frenetic energy as there is so much to do.....physical, emotional and spiritual w**ding, planting, growing and harvesting....all at the same time.
It is also a time of releasing fragrant blessings and gratitude, a time to give thanks for the abundance you see all around you....... a time to recognise what in life has not flourished and grown and to identify and w**d it out for release...leaving room for what IS flourishing to continue growing.

᯽So the Full Moon is a perfect time to get really focused so that the height of the energy doesn't cause that frenetic flailing around between too many things. Its good to take a pause and do a mini review of where you are in life.
