Kate Woolford is one of our community dentists at Widnes Healthcare Resource Centre.

She works with a fantastic team who provide dental treatment for adults and children with additional needs.

Kate supports patients who may otherwise find it difficult to access dental care, helping them get the treatment they need.

We’re delighted to announce that Nicola Martin has been appointed as the new chief nurse at North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust.

Nicola brings more than 20 years of NHS experience and will join us later this year from The Walton Centre, where she is currently chief nurse.

She will succeed Ali Kennah, who is retiring later this month after nearly 10 years with the trust and 30 years of dedicated service in the NHS.

Please join us in welcoming Nicola to North Cheshire and Mersey and thanking Ali for her outstanding contribution to patients, colleagues and communities throughout her career 💙

👋 Meet Pinky

Pinky works in our domestic services team on Ward B12, the Forget Me Not Unit at Warrington Hospital, our specialist ward for people living with dementia.

One of the things Pinky loves most about her role is bringing a smile to patients' faces each day.

She takes pride in helping patients feel clean, comfortable and as at home as possible during their stay.

Thank you, Pinky, for everything you do to make a difference every day.

A fantastic achievement for our teams 👏

More than 75% of patients were seen, discharged or admitted within four hours in June, placing North Cheshire and Mersey among the top four performing NHS trusts in the North West for A&E performance.

This improvement reflects the dedication of our staff, ongoing improvements to urgent and emergency care, and the support of our communities in choosing the right NHS service when they need care 💙

🎨 A colourful new mural is helping make special memories for families on the maternity unit at Warrington Hospital.

Created by talented fine art students from Carmel College, the hand-painted mural stretches across a 40-foot wall and celebrates the journey from pregnancy to birth and early childhood.

Designed with input from women and families receiving care on the unit, it features beautiful flowers, flowing lines and 5 intertwined butterflies representing the 1 in 5 families affected by pregnancy loss.

The mural also creates a perfect backdrop for those treasured first family photos as parents take their little ones home ❤️

A huge thank you to the students and staff who brought this meaningful project to life.

They help make sure surgeons have the equipment and supplies they need, when they need them, so they can provide the best possible care for patients.

Advanced knee replacement surgery coming to our hospitals this September.

Our Orthopaedic Team is preparing to carry out its first robotic assisted knee replacement operations using the Robotic Surgical Assistant (ROSA).

The technology provides detailed information to support surgeons in planning and positioning knee implants, helping deliver more personalised care for our patients.

And after a staff vote, ROSA has officially been nicknamed... ROSA McKnee 💙
