Happy news to round off the working week - in case you missed it, our lovely resident Marjorie recently celebrated turning 102 years young with a special ceremony, welcoming representatives from GTRBL - Grappenhall and Thelwall Royal British Legion. 🎂🎖️🥳

On the podium! 🏅

Earlier this summer, Belong villages had a ball taking part in an international virtual bike ride, clocking up as many miles as they could from the comfort of the in-house gym. 🚴‍♀️

For those not in know, our customers travel the world with special bikes linked with screens showing a destination of their choice and the more they pedal, the more they see! (The bikes can even accommodate wheelchair users, so nobody missed out.)

Belong Warrington took silver and we are thrilled for Belong Wigan and Belong Newcastle-under-Lyme for rounding off the UK top 3.

🏆 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗙𝗶𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲!

Last month, awards were presented to the winning venues of the 2026 Tour SilverFit Mile in the United Kingdom during a little celebration together with residents and participants. 🎉🚴

What makes this Tour extra special are the wonderful stories we hear along the way. One resident told us that she cycles the route through Paris three times a day for twenty minutes each time. Her father spoke French and she used to visit family in Paris regularly. Cycling brings those lovely memories flooding back. The Eiffel Tower, in particular, brings back memories. She said with a laugh: “Back when I used to go there, there wasn’t a queue at the Eiffel Tower at all. These days, there’s a whole queue of people waiting to use the SilverFit Mile!”

The SilverFittest participant in the Tour SilverFit Mile UK was no less than 103 years old. What a great achievement! 😊

Congratulations once again to all the winners, and a huge well done to all the participants who made this edition such an active, enjoyable and inspiring event. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Homemade Chilli Delight

Warm up this autumn with our delicious homemade chilli cheese jacket potato, available throughout September and October in The Bistro. Topped with hearty homemade chilli, melted cheese, crispy onions and served with sour cream, a fresh salad, and creamy coleslaw, it’s the perfect comforting lunch for just £6.25. Friday favourites

Join us every Friday in The Bistro and enjoy some true British classics. Choose from freshly battered fish, steak pudding, or scampi, all served with homemade chips and a choice of mushy peas or garden peas, curry sauce, or rich gravy. We also serve the best homemade traditional desserts too, so be sure to leave room! Costs: £8.70 (large), £6.20 (small); desserts priced individually.

Before we all headed home today, one of our wonderful team members, Gabija, gave staff appreciation her own special twist! 🥖💛

Gabija kindly baked a delicious selection of homemade sourdough breads completely from scratch, giving both our residents and fellow team members the chance to enjoy and sample her creations 😋

The incredible aroma filled the village, and the breads were a huge hit with everyone who tried them! It’s moments like these that showcase the kindness, creativity and community spirit that make Belong Warrington such a special place to be.

A huge thank you, Gabija, for sharing your passion and talents with us all – they were absolutely delicious! 🍞✨

🍽️ Mid-Week Roast at Belong Warrington Bistro 🍽️

Looking for a delicious lunch this Wednesday? Join us at Belong Warrington Bistro for our mid-week roast, served every Wednesday from 12pm – 2pm.

You'll be looked after by our fantastic Bistro Assistants, Roisin and Amelia, who will be ready to welcome you with a smile. 💚

If you're not in the mood for a roast, our full Bistro menu is available Monday to Sunday, 9am – 3pm, offering a great selection of breakfasts, lunches, light bites and sweet treats.
