Do you find yourself out of whack and a little bit all over the place? Pulled from pillar to post?

Then today’s card has come up to show there is work to be done. Temperance when reversed comes up when we have a lack of balance and harmony within ourselves which can make us act erratically. We react instead of respond, we are up and down emotionally and are unsure of our own needs or of how to meet them.

8 wands fly through the sky like arrows at a high speed, but which ones will hit their target?

Wands represent our goals, passions and ambitions and when we have a lot of them, it can be hard to keep everything going in the right direction. However everything in life is a balancing act, 10 minutes here, half an hour there, can sometimes be enough to sustain your forward momentum.

What are we looking for?

Both cards that have come up today deal with emotional fulfilment. The seven of cups with its external offerings that are being presented to the woman on a cloud and the lovers showing fulfilment through unity with another.

Getting money may make us feel secure and allow us to enjoy our lives more but does it take away our problems? Coming out on top can feel great but will we be content enough with ourselves when the buzz wears off? Or can we truly love and be there for someone if we do not love ourselves first?

Run rabbit run!

Mondays can bring a frenetic energy, the start of the week sees us getting back into work mode catching up on what needed to do last week and puts the fun and freedom of the weekend behind us, replacing it with routine and duty.

Today’s card reminds us to make sure we are taking the time to slow down instead of rush. When we are in a high cortisol state yes we may be more productive, but at what cost? Stress sustained over time has negative effects on health and well being and always being in a state of anxiety results in burn out.

Try to find some calm within the chaos. Remind yourself that you can only do your best and let go of some of that pressure, you may find yourself being more productive for it.

Sometimes life gets on top of us, work, family, relationships, responsibilities or just pushing yourself to do the things you need to do can be the hardest thing. We fight and fight but the pressure, demands and expectations creep up and overwhelm us, procrastination sets in, limiting beliefs rear their ugly heads and suddenly you feel backed into a corner with nowhere to go.

However when we are at our lowest points, when hope is gone and we are pushed to our limits do we find that inner strength that’s been with us all along, hidden deep down.

Hard work pays off.

In today’s card we see the spider meticulously crafting its web to be able to catch prey and provide shelter.

What can we learn from the spider though? How much dedication does it take to build its web? How many times has it had to go over each thread, again and again to make sure it holds up?

The spider is born with an instinct to do this just as you are born with a calling, a calling to grow, to create, to BE more. The spider here teaches us that mastery takes repetition, skill requires dedication and that what we achieve is only a result of all the work we did before.

Today’s card is the 10 of swords reversed, a card of betrayal and defeat.

10 swords are plunged into the woman as she retreats into her phone to numb herself from the pain. The swords could be backstabbings from other people, setbacks or losses which have rendered her incapacitated but considering she has 10 swords in her, she’s still alive, as are you. She and you are not out of the game yet no matter how defeated you may feel.

When this card comes up reversed we can see that swords could just fall out by way of gravity which indicates that past/recent hurts are beginning to lift.

Pain doesn’t last forever and today’s card says it’s time to pick yourself up and remember who the f*ck you are.

HAPPY FRIDAY 🥳 today’s card is the otter 🦦

The lyrics to “Raindrops keep falling on my head.” came to my mind as soon I saw this card which to me says that having a positive, optimistic energy can allow you experience your world differently in spite of any rainy days.

Sometimes it’s not the situation we can change but the way we view it and we can either let it have power over us and be a victim of circumstance or we can protect our energy and shift our perspective.

The otter encourages us to embrace a light and playful attitude.
