It's Bike Week and β and there's still time to support an incredible inclusive cycling challenge! π΄ββοΈ
As we celebrate the power of cycling to bring people together during Bike Week, we're shining a spotlight on We Ride Together North β an inspiring fundraising challenge taking place this July.
From 14β16 July, a determined team from Wheels for All will travel 121 miles from Kendal to Newcastle, aiming to raise Β£10,000 and highlight the urgent need for more inclusive cycling opportunities across the North East. π
Chair of Trustees Paul Alcock, Chief Partnerships Officer Ian Tierney, and friend of the charity Nick Green will complete the journey on a Van Raam Fun2Go side-by-side cycle β the same type of adapted cycle used every day at Wheels for All hubs across the country.
The challenge will not only be a fundraiser but will demonstrate that cycling should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability, and will help create more opportunities for disabled people to experience the freedom and joy that cycling can bring. β¨
We're also inviting local cyclists, organisations and supporters to join the team for sections of the route and ride alongside them. π
A huge thank you to Tomcat SNI Ltd and VanRaam UK for supporting the challenge and helping make inclusive cycling possible for more people. β€οΈ
