Waiting for all your ducks to be in a row before you start something?
As a person who has spent a lot of time waiting for the timing to be perfect before launching into anything new, believe me, as soon as it looks like your ducklings are sorting themselves out, one of them will just wander off, or fall down a drain hole completely..
It will never be the right time... something will always come up to hinder you getting started on that project, applying for your dream job, beginning that diet, starting that exercise class... because, if your honest, it feels a bit like relief when you can blame another thing from stopping you achieving that goal.
Today, I just started. I have been telling myself for years that things needed to be in place better for me to post on social media freely, without good reason, or a starting point, or a be 'ready' and this wasn;t the post I was meant to be posting! I was meant to be promoting my Yoga Classes as I start the new set of classes.. but here I am, posting a post about not starting.
So, don't wait. If you have wanted to try yoga, or have been wanting to get back to yoga, and you have been telling yourself 'I will start when I am fitter, or thinner, or younger or older, or richer or more in need or have more time or when all my ducklings are nicely lined up behaving themselves behind me' then check yourself.. thats never really going to happen is it really.. so don't wait, just start. Start in the middle, start at the end, start somewhere, just start.
Yoga with me is not about 'getting it right' or being 'the type for yoga'. I have ages from 18 to 76 in my classes and honestly, if you just want to come in, and that day just want to lie down on the mat for an hour because today that's all you've got, then I am down with that.
Text, call, message or just give me a wave and lets just see. millions of people love doing yoga. There is a reason for that.
