It’s Mental Health Awareness week this week, 11th -17th May 2026. The focus of this year’s theme is - highlighting the importance of turning awareness into meaningful change 🙏✨. We all need to ‘take action’ for mental health - for yourself, for someone else 🥰

Everybody’s Reiki treatment is individual and their responses are too - no one treatment is ever exactly the same. I have many clients who often feel quite tired after their treatments either immediately afterwards or the following day. My regular clients are fully aware this response may well happen and always make sure they aren’t busy after their treatments and many make sure the following day is a gentle, quiet one too giving their bodies time to respond and rebalance, something I always recommend if at all possible 😊🙏✨

Love this - the colours, the simple explanations - except that we Reiki therapists do not ‘Set Intentions’ as such as the Reiki flows through from us to our clients who receive the energy and this in turn finds where it needs to go within the recipients body 🙏✨. Of late I’m finding more and more people are coming to me for a Reiki treatment and are fascinated by the therapy and then the results 🥰🙏✨

I’ve recently had a break from my Calm Waters social media as I’ve been focusing on the important things such as my treatments, clients, my family & friends.
We should all take time to focus on the important people in our lives and remove ourselves from the distractions around us such as social media when we can.
I now am going through an enforced break from even the important things & people in my life due to a sudden bout of Laryngitis.
Sometimes things happen in our lives that make us take a step back and reflect. Possibly my body is saying ‘enough’ and even though these situations can be frustrating, annoying, upsetting and often worrying we have to listen to our bodies and sometimes give in and rest 😔😴

It’s Winter Solstice today occurring at around 3pm today marking the shortest day & longest night in the Northern Hemisphere, when the sun is at its furthest from the overhead point for that region. The exact moment signifies the beginning of astronomical Winter, with the Sun reaching its southernmost point in the sky.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas break doing what you enjoy most at this time of year 😊🎄. I have an extra special Christmas as my youngest daughter is home from Australia for the month & this will be my second grandsons first Christmas with us too 🥰
