The words we love to hear most.

Time and again, clients tell us the same thing: for the first time in a long time, they felt genuinely listened to. Not rushed. Not another number in a booking system. Someone took the time to hear their whole story before touching a single muscle.

One client put it simply: "You've become like an extended family to us."

That phrase stays with us. Because treatment starts with understanding. When you feel heard, you trust the process, and real progress follows.

If you've been passed around or left unsure, we'd love to be the ones who truly listen. Book online or call us today.

That moment when you hear the words “Advance SRM Therapies…” 😳

We might have watched this back a few times. 😂

More than 70 businesses from across the UK entered Best Local Business in the Entrepreneur's Circle Awards.

Six finalists were chosen.

WE'RE ONE OF THEM. 🎉 🤯

Ten years of Advance SRM Therapies.

2,557 appointments in the last year.

A team that's grown from three to six in the last 12 months.

Around 55 businesses brought together through The Village Network.

And more recommendations, reviews, introductions and acts of support from our local community than we could possibly count.

Whatever happens at the final, this feels like a win already.

Thank you. ❤️

Now… bring on awards night. 🤞

Your new knee might not be what's restricting your movement.

After a knee replacement, it's easy to assume that some stiffness and loss of movement is simply the price you pay for having a new joint.

But that isn't always the case.

Surgery doesn't just leave the scar you can see.

As the body heals, adhesions and restrictions can develop through the tissuesaround and beyond the visible scar - and these can affect how freely the tissues move around the knee.

That's exactly what we're demonstrating here.
We're using LymphaTouch away from the scar itself, at the side of the knee, to identify and work through areas where the tissues aren't gliding as freely as we'd like.

Why does that matter?

Because when those tissues are restricted, they can contribute to that familiar feeling of the knee being tight, stiff or difficult to bend.

Improving mobility through the scar and surrounding tissues can form an important part of helping the knee move more comfortably alongside your rehabilitation.

And sometimes people are genuinely surprised by how much movement is still available once we start addressing what's around the joint - not just the joint itself.

So if you've had a knee replacement and you've accepted:

"I suppose this is as good as it's going to get…"

…it may be worth having another look.

A replaced joint doesn't automatically have to mean a permanently stiff joint.

We'll assess your scar, the surrounding tissues and your movement, and let you know honestly whether scar therapy could be a useful part of your recovery.

Because sometimes it's not the new joint holding you back - it's what healed around it.

Nobody really talks about the belly button when discussing DIEP flap recovery.

During DIEP flap reconstruction, tissue from the lower abdomen is used to reconstruct the breast. As part of that surgery, the tummy is closed around the existing belly button, bringing it through a new opening in the abdominal skin.

And while everything may look healed from the outside, the tissues around the belly button and across the abdomen can still feel very different.

Tight.
Firm.
Restricted.
Pulled.
Or simply not quite like your own tummy anymore.

That's what we're working on here.

Using LymphaTouch alongside specialist scar therapy, we're gently working around the belly button and through the surrounding abdominal tissues to improve tissue mobility and address some of that feeling of tension across the midsection.

And that's an important part of DIEP flap recovery that can sometimes get overlooked.

After everything your body has been through, treatment isn't necessarily about changing how your scars look.

Sometimes the biggest difference is helping your abdomen feel softer, move more naturally and simply feel more like you again.

If you've had a DIEP flap and are still experiencing tightness, pulling or restriction around your abdomen or breast reconstruction scars - even if your surgery was some time ago - we'd be happy to take a look.

Book a FREE Scar Therapy Consultation.

We'll assess your scars and surrounding tissues, talk through what you're experiencing and let you know whether scar therapy may be able to help.

Something a little different from John today…

Sometimes a client comes in and what they need isn't conversation.

They've spent the day talking. Working. Parenting. Thinking. Answering questions. Being needed by everybody else.

And for an hour, they'd just quite like to not have to do any of it.

And that's absolutely okay.

In fact, there's another side to a quiet treatment that we perhaps don't talk about very often.

When the conversation stops, something changes for the therapist too.

You become more aware of what you're feeling beneath your hands. The subtle changes in the tissue. How somebody is breathing. Where they're holding tension. How they're responding to what you're doing.

You slow down.

You become more present.

And the treatment can become surprisingly mindful for both people in the room.

We love chatting to our clients - anyone who's met John will know that 😂 - but there should never be an expectation that you have to make conversation throughout your appointment.

Some days you'll come in and talk for an hour.

Some days you'll barely say a word.

Both are completely valid.

Your treatment time is yours.

And perhaps this is your reminder that you never need to entertain your therapist. ❤️

If you’ve ever had an incredibly tight, sensitive IT band worked on, you’ll know that sometimes the treatment can feel almost worse than the problem. 😬

But effective treatment doesn’t have to mean gritting your teeth while someone pushes harder.

Here, we’re using anIASTM tool - Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation.

The tool allows us to work very specifically through the soft tissues, changing the angle, pressure and amount of load we apply depending on how that tissue - and the person attached to it! - responds.

In this case, the outside of the thigh/IT Band area was extremely tight and sensitive. The depth of hands-on pressure we would normally use simply wasn’t comfortable enough to tolerate.

So rather than forcing it, we changed the approach.

Using the IASTM tool meant we could work progressively through the area with a level of pressure the client could tolerate, helping to encourage movement and reduce that feeling of restriction without turning the treatment into an endurance test.

And that’s an important part of what we do.

The goal isn’t to see how much pressure you can withstand.

The goal is to find the treatment your body responds to.

Sometimes that’s hands-on soft tissue work.
Sometimes it’s cups.
Sometimes it’s LymphaTouch.
Sometimes it’s a tool like this.
Often, it’s a combination.

If you’ve got an area that constantly feels tight, restricted or painful - particularly one that has never responded well to being “dug into” - come and let us take a look.

If the summer holidays are feeling heavy right now, this one's for you.

Meet Jo Wakeford, our Senior Therapist and one of the most warm and caring people we've ever worked with.

Jo specialises in pregnancy massage, postnatal recovery, scar therapy, and what she calls Calm and Restore - a space for people who need to switch off the mental load for a while and come back to their body.

She holds advanced certifications in pregnancy massage and postnatal recovery, and her approach to C-section scar work is among the best in the area. She also does orthopedic assessment, which means she doesn't just treat how things feel, she looks at how things are actually moving.

For anyone juggling school holidays, disrupted routines, and no time to themselves: this is a space that's specifically designed for you.

Jo has some limited availability in August and is now booking for September. If you've been putting off booking something for yourself, now is a genuinely good time to do it.

Summer holidays. Time off work. Finally getting round to that painting job.

Six hours on a ladder later, your shoulder doesn't work.

DIY is one of the most underrated causes of upper body pain we see in clinic. Overhead drilling. Painting ceilings. Reaching into awkward corners. Carrying heavy flat-pack boxes up the stairs. These are movements your body isn't used to, sustained for far longer than usual.

The shoulder, neck, and forearm take the brunt of it. And unlike sports injuries, people tend not to take DIY pain seriously. They just get on with it, which usually means it hangs around for weeks.

If you've spent the past fortnight ticking off the home improvement list and your body is feeling it, that's a legitimate reason to come in. Diana and Callum both handle this kind of thing well.

August is one of our busiest months and we have limited slots available. If you've been meaning to book, don't leave it until September.

Book via the link in bio or DM us.

Breast cancer treatment doesn't always end when the surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy finishes.

For many women, the months and even years afterwards can bring tightness, pulling, discomfort or restricted movement around the chest, shoulder and underarm. These changes are incredibly common after a mastectomy or breast surgery, yet many people assume they're simply something they have to live with.

Scar tissue can become restricted. The surrounding tissues can lose their natural movement. Everyday things like reaching overhead, fastening a bra, hugging loved ones or simply moving without being constantly reminded of what you've been through can become difficult.

This is where specialist scar therapy can help.
Using techniques including LymphaTouch, we work to improve the mobility of the tissues, reduce restrictions and help restore more comfortable movement. For many women, the biggest change isn't just physical—it's feeling that their body starts to belong to them again.

Every scar and every recovery journey is unique, so treatment is always tailored to the individual and their stage of healing.

If you're living with the lasting effects of breast cancer surgery, you don't have to assume this is simply "how it is."

If you'd like to find out more about our scar therapy treatment - call the clinic, DM or visit our website - link in bio.
