🎉🎂 A Very Special 103rd Birthday Celebration! 🎂🎉
What a wonderful day we had at Wellington Vale Care Home in Waterlooville as we celebrated an incredible 103rd birthday! 🥳💐
Our birthday star was surrounded by friends, family and the wonderful care team, with plenty of smiles, laughter, delicious treats and happy memories shared along the way. ❤️
Reaching 103 is an extraordinary milestone, and it was a real privilege to celebrate such a special occasion together. Here’s to an amazing birthday and many more happy moments to come! 🥂🎈

🎶 **Meet Paul, our fantastic Home Ambassador!** 🎶

Paul has been busy learning how to play the ukulele alongside our wonderful ukulele group, and he has absolutely **smashed it out of the park!** 🌟👏

After all his hard work and practice, Paul put on a brilliant performance for the rest of our residents, filling the home with music, smiles and plenty of cheer. 🎵💛

We’re so proud of you, Paul — what a star! ⭐ Keep strumming and entertaining us all! 🎸🎶

💛 Thank You, Wellington Vale 💛

After 6½ incredible years at Wellington Vale, it’s time for me to say goodbye… and I honestly don’t know where to begin. 🥹

When I look back, I realise just how much I’ve learnt, how much I’ve grown and, most importantly, how many amazing people, memories and friendships I’m taking with me.

One of the greatest privileges of my role has been welcoming new residents and their families to their new home. Being part of that journey, helping people settle in and seeing Wellington Vale become a place they feel comfortable and cared for has been something I have been incredibly proud to be a part of. ❤️

We’ve been through so much together as a team — the highs, the lows, the challenges, the celebrations, the tears and, of course, the endless laughs! 😂 There have been far too many funny moments to mention, but they’re the memories I know I’ll treasure the most.

Wellington Vale has been such a huge part of my life for the last 6½ years, and the people I’ve worked alongside have made it so much more than just a workplace. ❤️

A massive thank you for all the beautiful gifts, flowers, cards, Prosecco, w**e and thoughtful surprises. 💐🥂🎁

A special thank you for the beautiful olive tree from Olive 🌿 — something I’ll be able to watch grow and that will always remind me of my time at Wellington Vale.

And the memory jar filled with messages from colleagues, residents and relatives absolutely melted my heart. 🥹❤️ Knowing that so many of you have taken the time to write a special memory or message for me is something I will treasure forever.

I’m leaving with a very full heart, a LOT of memories, probably a few more grey hairs 😂, and friendships that I truly hope will last a lifetime.

Thank you for the laughs, the support, the memories and for being part of such a special chapter of my life.

Wellington Vale will always hold a very special place in my heart. 💕

🎺☀️ What a way to celebrate summer… and 10 amazing years! 🥂🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined our residents yesterday for our Grand Summer Proms celebration. With the sun shining, glasses of Pimm’s and Prosecco flowing, and wonderful company all around, it truly was an afternoon to remember.

We were delighted to be entertained by the fantastic Denmead Brass Band and the incredible voice of Hannah Cross 💕

A special thank you to the Mayor and Mayoress of Havant for joining us and doing the honour of cutting our celebratory birthday cake, beautifully homemade by our incredibly talented chefs. 🍰🎂

The event was made even more special as we celebrated 10 years of Cinnamon Care Collection, marking a decade of creating happy memories, meaningful connections and exceptional care.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us and helped make the day so memorable. Here’s to the next 10 years! 🥂✨

🌿 From Garden to Bedside – A Little Bag of Calm! 💜

Our residents enjoyed a wonderfully hands-on activity by creating their very own lavender bags. After picking fresh lavender from our garden, they carefully prepared the fragrant stems before filling hessian bags to create a beautiful keepsake for their bedrooms.

Activities like this encourage creativity, provide gentle sensory stimulation, support fine motor skills, and bring back cherished memories through the familiar scent of lavender. Best of all, each resident has a handmade reminder of a lovely afternoon, with a calming fragrance to enjoy every day. 💜🌿

A huge congratulations to two of our wonderful care team members, Carolanne and Rebecca, who completed the Trek26 Alzheimer’s Society challenge at the weekend! 👏💜

We’re incredibly proud of their achievement and would like to thank them not only for the outstanding care and compassion they show our residents every day, but also for their commitment to supporting people living with dementia beyond Wellington Vale.

Well done, Carolanne and Rebecca – you’ve done yourselves and the whole team proud! 💜🥾
