"I'm fine." Or, am I really?...
Sometimes those are the two words that hide the most pain.
Over the years, I've met many people who didn't come to see me because they thought they had depression.
They came because they no longer recognised themselves.
They told me they felt exhausted all the time.
That life had somehow lost its colours.
That they were still getting through each day... but no longer really living it.
Perhaps you've had thoughts like these too:
"What's wrong with me?"
"Why don't I enjoy anything anymore?"
"Am I actually pretty depressed...?"
If so, I'd like to share something a little different with you.
Not another article full of statistics or medical terms.
Just a personal letter from my therapy room to anyone who may quietly be asking those questions.
If it speaks to you, perhaps read it today.
If not, maybe keep it for a day when you need it—or share it with someone who might.

Sometimes the first step isn't finding the answer.
Sometimes it's simply recognising that the question matters.
