Jo's fundraising page is now live 🚶💙

167 miles. 8 days. Solo, no support crew — just Jo and whatever the weather throws at her.

Her target: £5,000, enough to fund 10 Step Up awards. Ten people, ten chances at life-changing rehab. That's what every mile is for.

If you can spare anything, it gets her one step closer — link in bio.

A look back at Luca’s time with us at our Gatwick centre! 💪

After travelling over from Germany for his intensive, Luca worked incredibly hard throughout his time with us, pushing himself every session and giving it his all. 👏

Here’s a little glimpse into his time at Neurokinex!

A month to go and counting... the training’s ramping up 💪

Jo’s putting in the miles ahead of the First Light Challenge — pack weight increasing each week, plus twice-weekly Pilates to keep everything moving properly for 8 days on the road.

167 miles doesn’t happen without the prep.

Follow along as she counts down to 4 September.

167 miles. 8 days. 3 centres. Our very own Jo Godfrey is taking on the First Light Challenge — walking solo from Bristol to Hemel Hempstead to Gatwick, to kick off the Step Up Challenge 2026.
Every mile is in aid of our Step Up Scheme — giving people newly living with a spinal cord injury six free hours of rehab when they need it most.
Setting off 4th September. We’ll be sharing the journey as it happens!

STEP UP CHALLENGE 2026 IS COMING SOON 🗓️

One Community. Three Challenges. One Goal.

This September, we’re bringing families, friends and colleagues together to safeguard the future of our Step Up Scheme — six free hours of specialist rehab for people newly living with a spinal cord injury.

🚶 First Light — an 8-day, 167-mile solo walk between all three centres

🏃 Daylight — a week of centre-based challenges

🌅 Twilight — a runway walk/wheel finale at Blackbushe Airport

Our goal: £25,000. Enough to give 50 people a Step Up award.

Assisted walking equipment ➡️ walking independently.

That’s Toby’s story. And it’s just getting started. 💙

Working with Maurice and the team at Neurokinex, Toby has made incredible strides — literally. His own words say it best:

💬 “It’s been a tough journey but I’ve made a lot of progress already, and hopefully much more to come.”

This is what neurorehabilitation looks like. This is why we do what we do.

Ever wondered what ARC-EX actually is? 🧠⚡

It’s a therapy that stimulates the spinal cord to help “wake up” the connection between the brain and body — supporting movement, strength and independence for people living with spinal cord injury.

Tag someone who’d find this helpful, or drop us a message to find out more.

Since last November we have been building up Andy's leg strength on the leg press machine.

We then used other specialist equipment including body weight support, electrical stimulation and our fantastic trainers to help perform lots of reps of standing in the P-bars…

…then on Tuesday last week Andy managed to hold standing for a couple of seconds on his own!

This is the first time he has stood since 2023!

Thanks to a brilliant Bingo and BBQ fundraising night, our Gatwick clinic has raised £2,000 for new equipment. Organised by our interns Izzie and James, the event brought together clients, friends and family for a wonderful evening.
New equipment includes:

An electric plinth
Paediatric parallel bars
BlazePodz
Various kids games

A sincere thank you to all who donated, and to Izzie and James for their outstanding contribution to the team this year. Best of luck returning to university in September!
