💜 At Rennie Grove Peace, we support local people from the moment they are diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, through every stage of their journey.

Whether it’s helping people navigate the emotional impact of their diagnosis, empowering them to live well with their illness, ensuring they feel comfortable and safe at the end of their life, or providing bereavement support for loved ones after loss - we’re here, at every step.

Our support is available to people with a progressive life-limiting illness, including Parkinson’s, progressive respiratory and neurological conditions, incurable cancer and heart failure.

If you, or somebody you know could benefit from this support, get in touch today.

What is a progressive life-limiting illness? 💜
A progressive life-limiting illness is an illness that can't be cured and may change over time. This includes conditions such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, COPD, cancer and heart failure. We also support people who are frail due to age.

Hospice care is about helping people live well, in the ways that matter most to them, with emotional, practical and physical support from diagnosis onwards. If you're unsure what support is available, we're here to help.

Hospice care isn't just about the end of life. 💜
It's about providing extraordinary care, emotional support and helping people get the best out of every day.
But that care doesn't happen on its own.
It takes staff, volunteers and supporters working together to ensure hospice care is there for everyone both now, and in the future.

“I feel more like a human being at home. I hated being in hospital. I was like a different person - all gloomy or miserable. But now I’m at home, I feel happy all the time. I can’t thank the Rennie Grove Peace team enough.

Gloria is 82 and has been blind since birth due to retinitis pigmentosa. Shortly after her discharge from hospital in December 2025, the Rennie Grove Peace team began supporting her at home.

Gloria and her daughter, Julie, share how this care has made a difference to their lives: https://renniegrovepeace.org/our-care-and-support/our-stories/glorias-story/

“We wanted to raise funds for the hospice to show our gratitude for all the care and support Janet received at home free of charge.”

This year, Derek and his family will be taking part in the Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge for the sixth time, raising money in memory of his beloved wife, Janet, who was cared for by our Hospice at Home team.

“We liked the idea of taking part in a challenge that would bring everyone together in her memory and we chose the Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge. It was a fun day out, if a little exhausting, but people made generous donations via the tribute page. We have since participated in the walk every year and many friends and family have continued to make donations - hopefully, the donations will continue.”
