🎧💃 Silent disco at Oaktree Court! 💃🎧

Headphones on, music up and the dancing started! There were plenty of smiles, a few dance moves we definitely didn’t know we had, and lots of laughter along the way. 😄

It’s amazing how a bit of music can bring everyone together. Whether you were dancing, singing along, tapping your feet or simply enjoying watching everyone else, there was something for everyone.

And of course… once the headphones went on, we had no idea what anyone else was listening to! 😂🎶

Another afternoon full of music, fun and those little moments that make such a difference. ❤️

A little bit of everything at Oaktree Court Care Home💛 From relaxing with some lovely reflexology to getting the minds working with a good game of Scrabble! 🦶🧩

Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the biggest difference — a bit of time to relax, a bit of friendly competition, plenty of conversation and, of course, a few laughs along the way! 😊

Who would you rather face in Scrabble… our residents or our staff? We think it could get quite competitive! 😂

A big thank you to Daisy Downham Singer for coming to Oaktree Court Care Home and bringing so much energy, happiness and warmth with you. ❤️🎶

It’s moments like these that remind us just how powerful music can be. Sometimes it’s not about the big performances, but the little moments in between — a smile, a shared laugh, a song that brings back a memory, or simply holding someone’s hand and sharing the moment together. 💕

Thank you, Daisy, for creating those special little moments that make such a big difference to our residents. 🎶❤️

Today we took a little trip into the past… quite literally! 🏺🔎

We’ve been finding out all about the archaeology dig at Samford Peverell and some of the amazing things that have been discovered there. From uncovering clues about the people who lived there many years ago, to seeing the fascinating finds and hearing the stories behind them, there was plenty to get everyone talking!

What made this even more special was how we came to be involved. Through our residents George and Beryl, who have links to the site and the wonderful people involved, we were able to make those connections and find out so much more. ❤️

It’s amazing how our residents’ own stories, memories and connections can open doors to new experiences. What started with a local connection turned into a brilliant opportunity to explore history, archaeology and the stories hidden beneath our feet.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for sharing their knowledge, their time and their discoveries with us. Who knows what else might still be waiting to be found! 🏺🪨🔎

Just a little snippet of some of the things we’ve been getting up to at Oaktree Court Care Home lately! 🥰

From pizza making 🍕, puzzles 🧩 and baking 🍰 to cooking, chatting, creating and plenty of little activities in between, there’s always something going on. Our carers and activities team are always finding ways to bring a bit of fun into the day, whether that’s getting stuck into something together, sharing a laugh or simply enjoying each other’s company.

It’s the little moments that make such a difference — a freshly baked treat, a puzzle finally solved, a pizza made from scratch or just sitting down and having a good chat. ❤️

There’s never a dull moment at Oaktree Court… and this is only a small snippet! What should we get up to next? 👀

⚽🧡 Supporting the next generation! 🧡⚽

We’re incredibly proud to support Wellington Youth Under 8s – Lions, Tigers & Panthers with sponsorship for their training ground and essential equipment.

It’s brilliant to see young players coming together, learning new skills, building confidence, making friends and, most importantly, having fun while playing the game they love! 🙌⚽

A huge thank you to the coaches, volunteers and everyone involved in helping these young players grow both on and off the pitch.

🧠💙 Dementia Interpreter Experiential Training 💙🧠

Today, our amazing team at Oaktree Court Care Home took part in the Dementia Interpreter Experiential Training, delivered by our wonderfully talented Quality Lead, Sarah. 👏

This powerful and thought-provoking session gave our team the opportunity to experience first-hand some of the challenges people living with dementia may face when communicating and navigating the world around them. Through a range of experiences, the team were able to understand what it can feel like to have limited verbal communication, restricted sight and hearing, and difficulties with movement and coordination.

A huge thank you to Sarah for delivering such an insightful and engaging session, and well done to the whole team for getting involved! 🌟

At the heart of what we do is making sure every person feels heard, understood, respected and valued. 💙

Today at Oaktree Court Care Home, National Arts Day became about much more than making art. 🎨❤️

We wanted to bring our Majesticare values of Heart and Trust to life in a simple way, so here at Oaktree Court our residents got creative, making their own hearts and hands — a little reminder that behind everything we do, it’s the people and the connections that matter.

But we didn’t stop there

We sent some T-shirts to our friends at a local preschool and asked them to add their own special touch. And what did they choose?

Hugs. ❤️✨

The children created their own hugs on the T-shirts, and something as simple as that became a lovely connection between two generations, even though we weren’t together in the same room.

It got us thinking… a hug really is one of the easiest things to give. It costs nothing, takes seconds and yet it can make someone feel cared for, valued and remembered.

That’s where Heart and Trust come in.

Heart in the kindness we show. Trust is in the connections we build. And today, those values of majesticare travelled from Oaktree Court to the preschool and back again through something as simple as a hug.

Different generations, different places, but one shared message.

Sometimes art isn’t just something you make.

Sometimes it carries a feeling.

And today, that feeling was love, connection and a whole lot of heart. ❤️🫶

Pom poms at the ready… because ABBA has arrived at Oaktree Court Care Home ! 🎶🕺💃

What better way to spend the day than singing along, dancing, waving our pom poms and enjoying some classic ABBA favourites? From the first song to the last, there were plenty of smiles, laughter and a few dance moves that definitely deserve their own spotlight! 😂

Our residents, staff and everyone joining in got into the spirit of it, proving once again that music really does bring everyone together. ❤️
