🌟 The power of poetry and precious memories. 🌟

Today at Oaktree Court Care Home one of our wonderful residents amazed us all during our poetry session. As we read together, he confidently remembered verse after verse, reciting the words with incredible accuracy and a smile on his face.

Moments like these remind us that memories can be sparked in the most beautiful ways. Poetry has a wonderful ability to unlock treasured moments, encourage conversation, and give our residents the opportunity to shine. We were so proud to see his fantastic memory skills on display today—it was a joy for everyone to witness.

Sometimes, it’s the simplest activities that create the biggest smiles and the most meaningful moments. 💙

Our gentlemen enjoyed a leisurely stroll together before settling down with the morning newspaper, sharing stories, discussing the headlines, and reminiscing about years gone by. Before the first seed was planted, there was a smile. 🌻💚

Today we spent time in the garden with one of our newest residents, enjoying the fresh air, getting our hands dirty, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. Sometimes it’s the simplest moments that make the biggest difference.

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference 💙🍩

A huge thank you to our wonderful Residential Manager Oaktree Court Care Home for treating the team to some delicious doughnuts from Rumwell Farm Shop today. It was such a thoughtful surprise and a lovely little pick-me-up that put smiles on everyone’s faces.

We truly appreciate your kindness, support, and the way you always look after your team. Gestures like this remind us how lucky we are to work together and how much we all value one another.

From mixing the ingredients to decorating (and, of course, taste-testing!), there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and happy memories made along the way. Activities like baking bring people together, encourage conversation, and create those special moments that make every day meaningful.

Before the drumming even began, there were smiles all around! 🥁✨ Our residents had a fantastic time with our drum balls session, enjoying the rhythm, laughter, and plenty of energetic fun.

Activities like these are a wonderful way to encourage movement, coordination, and social interaction, all while creating joyful memories together.

Our residents enjoyed spending time together taking part in arts and crafts, challenging themselves with Scrabble, and working through puzzles. These activities aren’t just fun—they help keep minds active, encourage conversation, and create meaningful moments with friends.

🏎️Oh it’s been a exciting day today with Oaktree Court Care Home🏎️

Our residents completely fascinated, taking in the history, stories, and stunning collection of vehicles. Brian especially loved reminiscing about the classic Ford Capris he once admired, all the way through to seeing incredible cars worth over £500,000! The smiles, conversations, and memories shared throughout the day made it truly special.

Days like these aren’t just about seeing amazing cars—they’re about sparking memories, sharing stories, and creating new experiences together. ❤️
