Around a third of people in the UK have high blood pressure, but most don’t know it. It doesn’t have any symptoms so the only way to find out is to have a blood pressure check.

Book an appointment with our nursing team, or call into reception where patients registered at our practice can use our Healthcare Pod without an appointment.

Once you “Know Your Numbers!” you can get support to bring your blood pressure under control and reduce any potential risk of heart attack, strokes, or other illnesses.

Getting you free Flu vaccine helps protect you against this serious illness. It will also help protect those around you and help reduce pressures on the NHS services during the winter.

You are eligible for a free flu jab if
💉 You are aged 65 or over by 31st March 2027
💉 You are pregnant (any stage)
💉 You live in a care home
💉 You look after a vulnerable person or receive a carers allowance
💉 You are in a clinical risk group, such as severe asthma, diabetes, heart or kidney disease

Children aged 2 and 3, or children aged over 6 months in a clinical risk group, are also entitled to a free flu vaccine.

Book your free Covid vaccine at the same time, if
💉 You are aged 75 or over by 31st March 2027
💉 You have a weakened immune system
💉 You live in a care home

See the Wells Community Network stall at this years Moat Race. A coordinated volunteer network to help you find someone for advice, help, or just a friendly chat.

🥳Just a reminder that it's the amazing Wells Moat Boat race this weekend!

We will be there with our fun games (make sure to bring dome change 💰) and we will be speaking to residents of Wells about our work in the community.

Online consultations allow you to contact us without having to initially telephone or attend in person. They are a secure way to seek advice about a medical condition. They can be used for non-urgent medical queries or admin requests.

The online consultation service should not be used for urgent medical matters. If your concern is urgent, please contact the surgery on 01749 672137 to book a same day triage appointment with the urgent day team.

Use the “Online Consultation” option from our home page and follow the prompts.

No queues, no waiting on hold. Our team will get back to you within 24 hours.

The Somerset Sight Mobile Advisory Service (MAS) travels around Somerset offering information, advice and aids for people with sight loss. They have lots of useful gadgets and helpful resources on board.

The MAS will be in Glastonbury, Wells and Shepton Mallet over the next few weeks – no appointment necessary.

Our Managing Partner Karen will be retiring from Wells Health Centre this summer.

Since joining the practice in 2014, Karen has shown unwavering commitment, professionalism and care in everything she has done. Her hard work, leadership and support have been felt by all.

The Practice would like to express our sincere gratitude for all that Karen has done over the years and wish her a long, happy and well-deserved retirement, with every success and happiness for the future.
