📢Do you know Cancer rehabilitation can prevent long term disability for those diagnosed with cancer.

🙈Unfortunately their are still too many suffering long term effects from cancer treatments and missing out on rehabilitation 😢

Perfect timing to become a STEEL rehab Physiotherapist. I am so excited about my new challenge to be involved with an 18 month Prehabilitation pilot seeing men diagnosed with prostate cancer prior to commencing Radiotherapy. I feel a research proposal coming on 👏.

🙋‍♀️Have you had your smear❓

🌻Latest figures show less than three-quarters of women invited for cervical screening take it up- and this falls even further in younger age groups and more deprived regions.

🌻Nearly 1 in 3 of those who didn’t attend were put off by covid concerns. The Cervical Screening Programme is up and running around the UK.

🌻If you find your smear tests painful , please have a chat with your GP or Nurse prior to your smear- things can be done to make it easier like a smaller speculum, plenty of lubrication, positioning and breathing techniques.
