Back to strength training 💪🏼

Recently I’ve made a conscious effort to get back into strength training and it’s reminded me just how important it is—not just for fitness goals, but for long-term health and longevity.

As we get older, maintaining muscle mass, bone density, balance, and overall strength becomes increasingly important. Strength training helps support all of these, making everyday movement easier and helping us stay active, capable and independent for longer.

For me, combining strength training with Reformer Pilates has been the perfect balance. Pilates builds body awareness, mobility, stability, and core strength, while traditional strength training helps develop and maintain muscle and power. Together, they complement each other beautifully.

If you come to my Restore & Tone classes, you’ll know we already incorporate some strength-training movements into our sessions, helping you build functional strength in a supportive and controlled way.

Mama & Baby Reformer 🤍

Our Mama & Baby Reformer sessions are a wonderful way to ease back into exercise after having your baby, helping you rebuild strength, improve confidence and enjoy some well-deserved time focusing on yourself.

These classes are designed with mums in mind, while also giving you the opportunity to include your baby in some of the movements, making each session both effective and fun✨

And don’t worry about your little one—we know babies work to their own schedule! If they need a feed, a cuddle, a nappy change, or have a little cry, there’s absolutely no pressure. Our studio environment is relaxed, welcoming and supportive. So you can move at a pace that works for both of you.

A chance to strengthen your body, connect with your baby and enjoy time with other mums in a friendly, judgement-free space 💕👶

Community Walk with Reform with Katy 🌿

Such a great turnout for the walk I organised with members and non-members of Reform with Katy. The rain held off and there was plenty of good conversation along the way. Always good to connect, move, and spend time outdoors together.

Picked up a hot drink for the journey from Niche, my way of saying thank you to my clients.

1 hour walk in nature is one of the simplest ways to improve your health. It burns around 200–300 kcal, supports fat loss without affecting muscle, and helps recovery on rest days. It also lowers stress, clears your head, and can improve sleep later that day.

A simple habit with real impact.
