We talk a lot about stimulating collagen in clinic, but what are you doing to support collagen production from the inside?

Treatments can stimulate your body to produce more collagen, but your body still needs the right nutrients and building blocks to actually make it. That’s why I think supplementation is an important part of the conversation too.

Temple filler is one of those treatments that can make a subtle but really important difference to the face.

As we age, it’s common to lose volume through the temples, which can create hollowing and change the overall balance of the upper face.

When I treat this area, my aim is never to make it look “filled”. It’s about carefully replacing lost volume and creating a softer transition between the forehead, temples and cheek area.

It’s a small detail, but when I’m assessing the face as a whole, it can make such a difference to the overall result.

“It’s perfect.” 🥹

There’s nothing better than seeing a patient’s reaction when they look in the mirror at the end of their treatment.

Following weight loss, my patient’s main concern was the change she’d noticed in her face, particularly skin laxity and heaviness through the lower face.

This is why I always assess the face as a whole rather than looking at one area in isolation. Using the Ricketts line and looking at her facial proportions, we created a treatment plan that included subtle dermal filler to the cheeks, chin, lips and nose.

Each area was treated with the others in mind, helping to improve her overall proportions and bring everything into better balance - while still making sure she looked like herself.

And I think her reaction at the end says it all. 🤍

These are the kind of results I love to create - subtle changes that work together across the whole face.

For this patient, I used a combination of anti-wrinkle treatment, lip filler and chin filler, with each treatment chosen to complement the next rather than treating one area in isolation.

The result is a softer, more balanced profile while still looking completely like herself. You can see how beautifully everything has settled now the treatments are fully healed.

For me, it’s never about changing someone’s face - it’s about understanding their individual features and knowing where small adjustments can make the biggest difference.
