SRS Fitness - Personal Training Experienced PT with my own private studio and a passion for health, fitness and nutrition. I love helping people improve their lives and gain confidence.

SRS Fitness - Based from my private, fully equipped studio in Welwyn I provide one to one or "partner" training sessions for busy people who are looking for someone who understands the ever-changing demands of work, family commitments and life. A little bit about me... ​ I am a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) and gained my NVQ Level 2 “Fitness Instructor” and NVQ Level 3 “P

ersonal Trainer & Business Planning” qualifications through Lifetime Training – the largest training provider within the health and fitness sector delivering the greatest number of apprenticeships and NVQ programmes as well as being the first in the leisure sector to achieve the Training Quality Standard. I also hold a Level 5 Diploma in Advanced Sports & Exercise Nutrition which I completed this year. To further my studies and broaden the services I can offer I have just begun a diploma in cognitive behavioural therapy alongside a second diploma in shiatsu massage. ​ I set up SRS Fitness in 2013 to enable me to provide a truly "personal" service, not affiliated with any commercial gym, allowing me to run my business in line with my own vision and values. I firmly believe health and fitness should be available to all and I am also a huge advocate of exercise and its benefits when living with depression and anxiety. I have an established, long term client base and gain more than 50% of my clients through word of mouth and recommendations. This is because client satisfaction is paramount to me and, I believe, critical to the long term success of my business. I strive to provide an outstanding service and have measures in place to ensure I can regularly gather feedback regarding the quality of service I provide. I have significant and current experience of working with children and young people as well as those with sports specific goals, older clients and of course, both male and female clients from a variety of backgrounds. ​ I employ a number of strategies in order to improve your fitness, overhaul your diet (as necessary) and help you achieve the physique you are striving for whilst also taking into account your whole wellbeing. My approach is firm but encouraging. I will be available to support you all the way - not just during our sessions. In return I expect absolute commitment from each client. ​

🧡6 SIMPLE THINGS THAT REALLY BOOST FAT LOSS

What actually helps fat loss?

❌ Not the fancy stuff.

💊 Not the supplements, detoxes or cleanses.

🏋️‍♀️ Often, not even the workouts.

🥱 But the boring stuff you keep overlooking.

1. Eating meals that keep you full 🍽️
If you’re constantly hungry, your plan won’t last.
(I’ve put this at no.1 for a reason!)

2. Keeping protein high 🥩
Makes meals more satisfying and helps maintain muscle.
(Also less hunger!)

3. Having easy meals ready 🥙
Convenience beats motivation on busy days.
(I live by this rule)

4. Walking more 🚶‍♀️
One of the most underrated fat loss tools.
(Plus excellent for mental health)

5. Sleeping properly 😴
Poor sleep = more cravings and worse food choices.

6. Being consistent after “bad” days 🫡
(No more “all or nothing” mindset)

Because fat loss becomes simpler when you stop aiming for perfection and instead start building realistic habits.

Habits you can repeat day in, day out, week after week for the rest of your life.

🧡WHY SO MANY PEOPLE LOSE WEIGHT THEN PUT IT STRAIGHT BACK ON AGAIN….

I get it, we’d all like every week to be perfect and arrive at our goal without any hiccups along the way BUT that’s not real life.

If you keep giving up after every little blip, you’ll never reach the goal.

The goal isn’t PERFECTION it’s CONSISTENCY.

As soon as you realise that you don’t have to have the perfect week for it to count and you can still make progress, the better.

HERE ARE SOME THINGS FOR YOU TO TRY THIS WEEK 👇🏻

1️⃣Hitting your protein target most days instead of obsessing over exact macros every day.
2️⃣Drinking more water today rather than waiting until Monday to “start properly.”
3️⃣Doing a 20-minute workout instead of skipping because you can’t fit in an hour.
4️⃣Creating a simple wind-down routine rather than trying to optimise every aspect of sleep.
5️⃣Taking a 10-minute walk after dinner.
6️⃣Focusing on what you can do today instead of what you didn’t do yesterday.

These all cultivate a healthier “consistency” mindset and quieten that “perfectionist streak”.

You are not failing fat loss!!!

You’re simply repeating a system that was never designed to work long term.

Because most fat loss advice assumes MOTIVATION is stable.

I’m here to tell you it isn’t!

Your plan shouldn’t rely on being DISCIPLINED every day. It should survive the days you’re tired, stressed, busy, emotional, or overwhelmed.

Because those are the days that shape your RESULTS.

People think fat loss fails because they:
🍰 EAT too much
🚲 don’t TRAIN hard enough
📋 aren’t CONSISTENT enough

But most of the time it fails because their strategy collapses the moment life gets busy.

👉🏻The real problem isn’t EFFORT.

It’s FRICTION.

Plans that require:
❌perfect tracking
❌ perfect routines
❌ perfect meal prep
❌ perfect energy
❌ perfect weeks

don’t survive real life.

🔑 Fat loss works best when your plan still works on:

✅ busy Tuesdays
✅ stressful Thursdays
✅ poor sleep weeks
✅ school holidays
✅ low motivation days
✅ emotional evenings

Because that’s real life (If your plan only works when life is calm, it’s not a strategy…..It’s a phase).

Everyone thinks motivation is the problem.

It’s not.

One thing I tell every client who says they’re struggling with motivation.

Don’t rely on motivation to get things done!

Because motivation disappears.

Stress happens.

Work gets busy.

The kids get ill.

Life gets in the way.

The people who get results aren’t motivated all the time.

They’ve simply built routines that work even when they don’t feel like it.

That’s the difference.

Routines over motivation….

You see the workouts.

(Why this is my least favourite, overused fitness “motivator”).

“We all have the same 24 hours in a day”

Yes.

Yes, we do.

But

⚡️We don’t all have the same energy.
👶 We don’t all have the same responsibilities.
We don’t all have the same support, circumstances, stress levels, or demands on our time.

🕰️ Time might be equal.
Everything else isn’t.

Stop comparing your behind-the-scenes to someone else’s highlight reel. Do the best you can with the time, energy and circumstances you have today.

😇 Consistency isn’t about doing everything perfectly.

It’s about adjusting when life happens and still finding a way to move forward.

The people who get results aren’t the ones who have perfect days.
