Staffordshire University is conducting a household survey in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO). The survey will provide valuable information on how people perform their daily activities which will be part of a global report.

A request to participate in the UK rATA survey conducted by Staffordshire University for the World Health Organisation.

31/03/2021

Staffordshire University are conducting a World Health Organisation (WHO) household survey, and we would like to hear from you. The survey will gain information on the use of assistive technology (AT) in the UK.

You don’t need to use any AT or any particular device to complete the survey. As a household survery, we want everyone to take part.

Data collected will provide valuable information on the use of AT in the UK.Today, 1 billion people need AT to lead productive, inclusive, and dignified lives, but only 1 in 10 people globally have access to the AT they need. AT is any device, software, or equipment that helps people complete their daily activities, for example, reading glasses, hearing aids, prostheses, wheelchairs and text-to-speech software.

We are inviting everyone reading this message to take part.

If you choose to take part, we will ask you to give us your contact details and an interviewer will call you by telephone to complete the questionnaire.

Using augmented reality, we explain how your heart works. If you have you atrial fibrillation, healthcare professionals and individuals with AF explain how to live with it and how it can be treated. This app is funded with funds awarded from NHS England Staffordshire’s technology enabled care programme. If you have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AF) and have questions about your condition, your GP or practice nurse can advise you further if you make an appointment at your practice. https://www.virtualhealthshed.com/know-my-heart/
