Focusing on skin health, cosmetic dermatology and advanced lasers for scar rejuvenation, we are patient centred and comprehensive in our approach, regardless of the geographical location. Dr Cormac is the only Doctor north of Birmingham to offer fully ablative laser skin resurfacing fo

r scarring and photodamage. He also provides the advanced technique of Taylor-liberator subcision for acne scarring. He has also led in the introduction of ultrasound for the improved safety of cosmetic procedures, including the management of complications. Additional specialist interests include teaching and support, particularly with regards the investigation and management of complications. Dr Cormac is Vice-Chair of the international collaboration group called Complications in Medical Aesthetics Collaborative (CMAC).

An angel in the north.
Majestic in the warm glow.
Our angel Elaine was the same, yet tarnished and ultimately felled by a light too harsh.
The blight of mental illness coupled with harsh self-criticism. The whispers, there or not, roared in her ears. Too much the stigma, the misunderstanding. Non-understanding. The lack of help.
“It’s your fault” she thought they said..

And now the pain endures, the cycle repeats.

If only, at least, the stigma could be removed..

And with the best man .shane by my side, the outcome was more assured.
Friends coming together, the Davies’ clan were the masterminds behind and the architects of so much fun.

Thought for a new year.

After a lifetime of self-castigation for limitations in strength, recent events have led to an epiphany.

Strength doesn’t matter.
Surviving, isolated, is not what life is about.

It’s about kindness, caring, community, family and friends.

I have been so blessed and couldn’t be more grateful.

I hope others know the incredible impact they can have with simple deeds 🙏

23yrs ago I said I’d never run a marathon. That was just after doing my only half (marathon).

How times change..
I now have 2 types of arthritis and definitely can’t run a marathon.
But I have motivation and a healthy measure of stubbornness on my side.

So it remains to be seen if and how I run it.
But they’ll have to scrape me off the roads to stop me.
