I wanted to share a little update from Sensational Minds.

We've recently launched free autism, ADHD and dyslexia pre-screeners on our website. We've worked hard to align them to recognised clinical standards and standardised screening tools, helping individuals and families gain a better understanding of whether further assessment or support may be worth exploring.

I'm not sharing this because I think everyone needs to complete them. Instead, I'm sharing because we all know someone who might be trying to make sense of things, whether that's a child who's struggling at school, a teenager who's finding life difficult or an adult who's always had unanswered questions about themselves.

Sometimes one conversation, one shared resource or one moment of understanding can completely change a person's experience. It can help a family make sense of behaviours, help a child access the right support or give an adult permission to explore questions they've been carrying for years.

So please keep this in mind and feel free to share it if someone comes to mind.

You can find the free pre-screeners here:

🎉 WE HAVE SOME INCREDIBLE NEWS TO SHARE! 🎉

Today, we're celebrating something very special...

Sensational Minds has been recognised as one of the 's Nation's Favourite Businesses 2026 as part of the Business Saturday UK campaign.

Honestly, when Sensational Minds began, I never imagined we'd one day receive national recognition like this.
What started as a passion for helping neurodivergent children, adults and families feel understood has grown into something so much bigger than I could ever have achieved alone.

This recognition belongs to:

💜 Every family who has trusted us with their story
💜 Every child, young person and adult who has allowed us to be part of their journey
💜 Every school and organisation we've worked alongside
💜 Every member of our incredible team who brings expertise, compassion and dedication to their work every single day

As a former specialist teacher and SENCO, a late-diagnosed ADHDer and a parent of neurodivergent children myself, this mission has always been deeply personal.

To be recognised nationally for the work we do supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families means more than I can put into words.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Sensational Minds over the years.

We're incredibly proud.
We're incredibly grateful.
And we're only just getting started. ✨

This year, we’re focusing on something I’m incredibly passionate about:
Neuroinclusive Coaching: Celebrating Neurodiversity in Sport
The reality is that thousands of coaches give up their evenings and weekends to support children, young people and adults in sport. They volunteer, encourage, motivate and create opportunities for others to thrive.
But very few coaches are ever taught how neurodiversity can influence a person’s experience of sport.
How does ADHD affect concentration during training?
Why might an autistic athlete struggle with team communication but excel in technical skills?
How can dyslexia impact understanding of instructions?
What can coaches do to create environments where neurodivergent athletes feel understood, supported and able to succeed?
Whether you’re coaching football, rugby, cricket, netball, athletics, swimming, squash or any other sport, this session is designed to provide practical, strengths-based strategies that you can use straight away.

What if there was another way of understanding and supporting our children?

As mums of neurodivergent children and professionals who work with families every day, Zoe O'Sullivan and I know how overwhelming things can feel when a child is struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, attention, focus or school.

In this conversation, we share our own experiences, the challenges we've faced as parents, and explore alternative approaches that supported our families, including amino acid therapy and neurofeedback.

This is not about fixing children or offering quick fixes. It's about understanding what might be happening beneath the surface, being curious about unmet needs, and exploring different ways to support children to thrive.

With the return to school approaching, we hope this conversation provides reassurance, new perspectives and perhaps a little hope for families who may be feeling stuck.
