Modelling throughout the school day is a powerful way to help build language skills without expectations or demands on the learner. It can take some practice to get used to modelling but it does get easier with time. WordPower is a great vocabulary to support modelling with it's range of high frequency core words, logical next words and groups pages. Earlier this year Mick took us on a tour of WordPower 60 Basic with Widgit symbols - a new addition to our NovaChat Vocabulary line up.

You may have noticed then that he teased that the full suite was coming later in the year - and he wasn't wrong! The full WordPower Suite will soon be available in Widgit symbols on NovaChat - expanding the range of options for teams looking for the right vocabulary for a person.

This brings together two systems many people already use. WordPower for communication, and Widgit Symbols for learning in schools.

WordPower supports language through core words, spelling, prediction and topic pages linked to real activities and conversations.

With Widgit Symbols now available, this can feel more familiar across school and home.
