🌟 Our People | Meet Andrew Cook 🌟
If you've ever wondered who helps ensure we're continually learning, improving and delivering safe, high-quality care, meet Andrew Cook, our Clinical Governance Lead at Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital.
Andrew has spent more than 40 years working across healthcare. From emergency departments and community care to prison services, regulation with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and senior leadership roles across independent providers, he's seen patient care from almost every angle.
Today, Andrew champions patient safety, quality improvement and continuous development throughout our hospital.
A big part of his role is listening. Whether that's hearing directly from patients through surveys and forums, reviewing feedback, or helping colleagues reflect on their experiences, Andrew is passionate about creating a culture where everyone feels supported to improve.
He believes challenges should be seen as opportunities to learn and grow, rather than something to fear.
When he's not at the hospital, you'll find Andrew walking his dog, practising yoga, or enjoying a trip to the theatre. A recent favourite? Jesus Christ Superstar, which he says still leaves him blown away.
