Join us on Tuesday 9th September at Lawrence Hill Health Centre.
☕ 11:00–11:30 – Welcome and refreshments
🩺 11:30–12:30 – Cancer awareness
GPs and specialist nurses will talk about breast, cervical, bowel and liver cancer. Learn about common symptoms, NHS screening and ways to reduce your risk.

Hello Everyone,

We are pleased to share that Matron Siny, in collaboration with the FAST MRI Research Team, attended the Kenyan Health Event in Bristol on 9 August 2026.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with the local community, raise awareness of the FAST MRI research programme, and discuss the importance of rearch, breast screening and early detection. Siny, in collaboration with the FAST MRI Research Team, attended the Kenyan Health Event in Bristol on 9 August 2026.

The event provided a fantastic opportunity to engage with the local community, promote awareness of the FAST MRI research study, and highlight the importance of breast screening and early cancer detection. It was wonderful to connect with attendees, answer questions, and support health promotion within the community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and contributed to making the event a success.

Our Matron, Siny, represented Avon Breast Screening and NBT Bristol NHS Foundation Trust at a health event hosted by the Avon Indian Community Association, sharing information on breast screening, breast health, and breast awareness.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat and learn more about the importance of knowing what's normal for you and attending breast screening when invited.

Matron Siny recently attended the Bristol NHS Foundation Trust clinical governance for theatre staff at Southmead hospital.

📸Siny is pictured demonstrating to staff how to effectively self-examine, she had also been talking all things breast screening & breast cancer.
