🌿 Wellness Reminder from Me (and Holly!): 🌿

The older I get, the more I realise the power in one simple word: “No.”
And my wise daughter Holly often reminds me that “No” is a complete sentence.

You don’t need to justify, explain, or apologise for honouring your own energy.

You’re allowed to say no… and still be a kind, loving, generous soul.

🤍 It’s ok to cancel a commitment.
🤍 It’s ok to not answer a call.
🤍 It’s ok to change your mind.
🤍 It’s ok to want to be alone.
🤍 It’s ok to take a day off.
🤍 It’s ok to do nothing.
🤍 It’s ok to speak up.
🤍 And yes, it’s ok to let go.

In fact… it’s more than ok. It’s essential.

You can’t pour from an empty teacup (or a drained chakra!).

Let this be your gentle permission slip for today:

Starting Monday 27th July, I'm running a brand new 4-week experience: Light, Lifted & Ready; a simple, supportive confidence reset to help you feel lighter, calmer, and more you before the summer's out.

No extremes. No perfection. Just small daily anchors, a weekly hypnosis reset delivered straight to you, and a warm, supportive group cheering you on.

🕰️ First 10 spaces: £25

🎤 Chair-side Rock 'n' Roll! 🎤

I'm swapping my yoga mat for a chair this Tuesday 7th July, stepping in to lead Chair Exercises for the lovely Tuesday Club at Kewstoke Village Hall, 2-4pm — their speaker is unfortunately under the weather, so I've been called up as reserve entertainment!

We'll be moving (and singing along) to some absolute classics — My Boyfriend's Back, Jailhouse Rock, Summer in the City, Locomotion, Fever and Respect. A gentle arm workout with a bit of Aretha Franklin magic thrown in, some tip-toes and marching for anyone happy to stand, and all of it at whatever pace feels good in the body.

I have a sneaking suspicion this "elderly and immobile" group might surprise everyone, much like my yoga class usually does!

If you've enjoyed my yoga classes, you might not know I also offer hypnotherapy and reflexology and more through Jackie Cave Wellness. I'm always happy to chat if you're curious.

☕ £3 non-members / £2 members, tea and coffee included. There may be biscuits and cake too!

☀️ What a week that was!

Phew! That heat was something else, wasn't it?! 🥵 I don't know about you, but I was pulling out every trick in the book to stay cool!

My go-to? A cold, wrung-out flannel on the back of the neck — absolute heaven. And running your wrists under cold water for a few minutes works wonders too, as it cools the whole body down surprisingly quickly. Little wellness hacks that really deliver!

It's a relief that things have cooled down a little now — hopefully everyone is sleeping better. 😴

Yoga this week looked a little different...

Tuesday's class had to be cancelled as our upstairs hall in the heat was simply not the place to be stretching! 🫠 On Thursday though, we gathered as usual and I led a beautifully gentle, mostly seated class, keeping it cool, calm and grounding. Just what the body needed. (Not that our classes are ever boot camp, but even we took it down a notch this week! 😄)

I'd love to see you on the mat soon! Here's where to find us:

Tuesdays — 5:30pm | Kewstoke Village Hall (upstairs)
Thursdays — 9:30am | Kewstoke Village Hall (main hall)
£8 per class

The next Indian Head Massage course is coming up in July. One day of hands on training in class giving you all the skills to qualify. Case studies to be completed to receive your certificate, accredited by the IPHM.

What a FABULOUS day yesterday teaching Indian Head Massage! 🌟

Patrycja, Beverley and Carlie - you three were absolutely AMAZING! You showed up ready to learn, ready to practise and ready to shine ✨

Watching you work through the treatment with such focus and confidence was just brilliant! And Carlie, your real-world insights about using IHM at health fairs to attract clients was pure gold for the group!

The best part? Patrycja and Beverley already have their case study clients lined up. These ladies mean BUSINESS!

And speaking of business… if this has got you curious about Indian Head Massage training, another date is coming soon so send me a message if you'd like to be first to know!

And for those already qualified… an Advanced IHM course is coming in mid-October and I have a feeling it's going to be incredible!
