“Following on from Boris Johnson’s announcement that England is once again in lockdown, we will be remaining open to provide essential podiatry/chiropody services.

We will be able to provide our full range of services including nail care and home visits. However, we are aware you may wish to rearrange your appointment until the rate of coronavirus lessens locally.

Through this next lockdown we will maintain our infection control standards, use of Personal Protective Equipment and continue to screen everyone for Covid risk before attending appointments.

Sometimes patients ask for "just a simple nail cut" but this is rarely ever the case. I have often uncovered underlying problems such as diabetic ulcers, infected ingrowing toenails, corns under the toenail and circulation problems whilst "just cutting nails". Podiatrists train at university for 3 years and spend 1000 hours in clinical practice before qualifying to ensure that we provide the highest standard of safe care to our patients. Your health and safety are important so make sure that the person cutting your nails is a HCPC registered Podiatrist. Check the HCPC register here https://www.hcpc-uk.org/check-the-register/
