🎉 Happy 80th Birthday, Lynda! 🎉

Today, our wonderful carers Becky and Geeny had the privilege of celebrating Lynda's incredible 80th birthday, sharing a Presecco (alcohol free). With a toast, plenty of smiles, and lots of love, they helped make sure Lynda's milestone birthday was one to remember.

Birthdays are about so much more than cake and cards—they're about celebrating a life well lived, creating cherished memories, and making every person feel valued and special. We believe everyone deserves to feel celebrated, and we're honoured to be part of these precious moments with the people we support.

AMG Care Services is proud to support George and Alan as they take on the incredible challenge of walking 1,200 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise funds for the Samaritans.

Over 85 days, this father-and-son team will face physical and mental challenges to support Samaritans, who provides vital emotional support and a listening ear to those in need. The Samaritans play an invaluable role across North Somerset and across the country, helping people through difficult times, preventing isolation, and offering hope when it's needed most.

At AMG Care Services, we care about the wellbeing of our clients, families, carers, and the wider community.

With temperatures expected to remain very high, it's important that older people and those with health conditions take extra precautions to stay safe during the heatwave.

💧 Top Tips to Stay Safe:

✅ Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
✅ Keep your home cool by closing curtains and blinds
✅ Avoid going outside between 11am and 3pm when temperatures are at their highest.
✅ Wear loose, light-coloured clothing
✅ Use sunscreen and seek shade whenever possible.
✅ Check on elderly relatives, neighbours, friends, and vulnerable members of your community.
✅ Keep an eye out for signs of heat exhaustion including dizziness, headaches, confusion, excessive sweating, or feeling faint.
