What a wonderful way to celebrate Care Home Open Week and National Picnic Day at The Triangle Care Home 💜

Our summer picnic brought together amazing residents, visitors from the local village, families and friends for an afternoon filled with good food, great company and plenty to enjoy. At one point our lounge was packed, which was lovely to see as everyone came together for the occasion.

A particular highlight was a fascinating visit from Colin and his birds of prey, which sparked lots of conversation and smiles. Our talented chef prepared a delicious picnic spread, and the raffle proved very popular, with lots of happy winners taking home prizes. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a special one for our residents 😊

Today, Charlotte from our activities team at The Triangle Care Home took Dee out to the pub after lunch for a little change of scenery 💜

Dee was so happy to be out and about, enjoying a non alcoholic gin and tonic while reminiscing about some of the pubs she used to visit over the years. It was lovely to hear her stories and memories as they chatted together 😊

Sometimes it's the simple outings that bring back the biggest smiles, and this one certainly did 💜

It was a busy afternoon here at The Triangle Care Home today 💜

We started with a visit from Brenda's dog, King, who was very pleased to be the centre of attention. Brenda's daughter joined us too and enjoyed a lovely photo with resident Joyce while King soaked up all the fuss 😊

The fun continued with a very competitive game of fly swatter tennis, with plenty of laughs along the way. After all that activity, everyone was more than ready for a well earned ice lolly. It was lovely to see our carers getting involved too and joining in with the games and fun alongside our wonderful residents 💜

The rain may have been falling outside, but we brought a little sunshine indoors at The Triangle Care Home 🌻💜

Brenda, Susan and Michael spent some time getting creative with sunflower colouring, adding plenty of bright colours and cheerful touches to their artwork. It was a lovely way to spend the day, with lots of conversation and concentration along the way.

Sometimes a simple activity is all it takes to brighten a grey afternoon 😊

On Saturday 30th May, The Triangle Care Home was delighted to welcome Nikki King Music for a wonderful live performance for our wonderful residents. 🎶✨

It was a fantastic afternoon filled with music, smiles and plenty of laughter as everyone enjoyed the lively entertainment. Residents joined in, tapped along to the songs and thoroughly enjoyed the uplifting atmosphere.

A big thank you to Nikki King for coming in and sharing such a brilliant performance with us. It was lovely to see so many happy faces and hear everyone saying how much fun they had. 💜

This morning at The Triangle Care Home , Brenda, Susan, Ann and Maria joined Charlotte from activities for a lovely little sit out in the garden 💜

We enjoyed our tea and coffee outside together, making the most of the fresh morning air before the heat of the afternoon set in. There was plenty of easy conversation and a really calm, relaxed start to the day ☀️

Sometimes it’s these quieter moments in the garden that everyone enjoys the most, just sitting together and taking it all in.

On a recent afternoon we put our new karaoke machine to the test at The Triangle Care Home and safe to say it was a hit from the very first song 🎤💜

Our wonderful residents sang along to old classics while playing instruments, with Dee dancing from start to finish and soon getting everyone else up joining in too 😊 There were plenty of requests for Elvis Presley throughout the afternoon, and one of the highlights had to be Brenda and Dee singing a duet of Blue Suede Shoes together.

The room was full of music, laughter, and a few impressive dance moves along the way. We have a feeling the karaoke afternoons may become a regular favourite in our home 🎶

We enjoyed a lovely Cultural Diversity Day yesterday at The Triangle Care Home this week, spending time learning about and celebrating different cultures from around the world 😊

Our wonderful residents sampled sweet treats from different countries with the morning tea trolley while listening to music from across the globe. One of our wonderful carers, Guri, also shared the history and significance of turbans with everyone, talking about the importance of faith, identity and tradition behind them. Residents were really interested to learn more, and Brenda, Ann and Mavis enjoyed trying them on with Guri’s help and guidance 💜

It was such a thoughtful afternoon filled with conversations, learning and plenty of smiles!
