John Corner Funeral Service Ltd are independent family funeral directors based at Low Hawsker, Whitb

John Corner funeral service limited is a professional and sympathetic service from a local, long established independent family business of over 38 years. We have served the local community by providing help and guidance which we hope to uphold the fine tradition of care, respect and understanding that has become the hallmark of our well established family business that has been built on trust and

recommendation. We pride ourselves in giving each family the highest standard of service at all times. John Corner and his wife Edith took over the local funeral business in 1975 where John worked his apprentice with the previous owner. He has continued to run it under his own name as a family concern for the past 38 years. His daughter Wendy and husband Kevin have now taking over the running of things as they have done since 2010. We are a dedicated team who are there to offer families all the support, assistance and much needed reassurance and sympathy that they need at this sad and difficult time of upset and worry. Good afternoon,
We have been saying that this advert is very misleading for families and gives a lot of false information.
We as an independent funeral director do direct unattended services, but have our own small private chapel for families to come and have the chance to say goodbye before the service at the crematorium

Margaret and family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended Joe’s funeral service on Monday.
We were truly overwhelmed and deeply touched to see so many people there to celebrate Joe’s life and pay their respects. Your presence, support, and kindness have brought us great comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
We would also like to thank the many people who have sent cards, messages, and words of sympathy.
Special thanks to Rev David Gould for leading such a meaningful service, to Wendy, Kevin and the team at John Corner Funeral Service for their care and support, and to Dawn Bentley from the Wilson Arms for kindly providing the refreshments.
We are completely heartbroken but we take comfort in knowing how loved and respected he was by so many.
