Got a non-urgent request for the practice?

You don’t always need to telephone us. Our website gives you access to online services and information to help you contact the practice.

Online contact is useful when your request doesn’t need an immediate response and you’d prefer to send the details digitally.

Please give us clear information about what you need so the team can direct your request appropriately.

For urgent medical help, don’t wait for an online response. Use the appropriate NHS urgent care service.

Plans change. If you no longer need your GP appointment, please remember to cancel it.

Even a cancellation at short notice gives us an opportunity to offer the appointment to another patient.

You can help by:-
• Cancelling as soon as you know you cannot attend
• Checking the date and time when you receive a reminder
• Keeping your mobile number up to date
• Using the cancellation options available to you

Every appointment released back to the practice helps us make better use of NHS time.

Do you know your blood pressure?

High blood pressure often has no obvious symptoms, so getting it checked is one of the simplest ways to look after your health.

During Know Your Numbers Week, we’re encouraging patients to take a few minutes to check theirs.

You might be able to have your blood pressure checked at a local pharmacy, at home if you have a monitor, or through the practice when appropriate.

If you get a high reading, don’t ignore it. Speak to a healthcare professional for advice.

Support for Carers in Greater Manchester

A carer is anyone who regularly looks after or supports a family member, friend or neighbour who would struggle without their help.

There are around 280,000 unpaid carers across Greater Manchester, including young carers, working carers and parent carers.

Caring for someone can affect your own health, wellbeing, finances, work and relationships. Greater Manchester is working to ensure carers are recognised early, listened to and given access to the right support. This includes health checks, GP appointments, wellbeing services, employment support and help to stay connected with the community.

Carers are also encouraged to create an emergency plan, so someone else knows what to do if they become unwell or are unable to provide care.
