Lowther Medical Prescription Ordering Text Message Service

Due to the old system being upgraded and having to change to a different supplier, the practice has decided to remove this service for patients as it has increased in cost, and the functions of the new service are not suitable for us to manage your prescription requests.

As an alternative we are asking patient’s to sign up to the NHS App.
This service is free, and integrates with our Clinical Computer Systems.
You will no longer have to type out the names of your medications, any repeat medication you are on will be listed and you will just need to tick the box next to the items you require and click the submit button.

If there are items that are not showing for you to select, there is a text box where you can enter in any details of any medication that you need to order. These requests will be reviewed and processed by out Medicine Management Teams. If there are any issues with your order or we require more information we will contact you at the point of processing your request.

You can download the free app to any smartphone/tablet or app enabled digital device.
Please visit your App store on any Apple devices or the Google Play store on any Android Device and search for “NHS App”

If you do not have access to a digital device, please call our prescription voice mail box on 01946 518299 and leave your prescription details.

Both ordering on the NHS app or Voice mail systems can be done 24hours a day, 7 days a week.

We aim to process your request within 72hrs Monday to Friday
