Hello! A brief introduction if you just found me.
I am a Perfumer, Clinical Aromatherapist and UKCP-Psychotherapist living in Northumberland.

Half of my life I spent in Mexico, half of my life in England. I have worked in many other countries over the years: France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Neatherlands, China, India, Egypt, Russia... I created fragrances for all of these countries and more over the past 25 years.

After studying Chemistry in Mexico, I started working for Procter & Gamble and very quickly started my training to become a Perfumer. This means I am a "classically trained Perfumer" and a "Fragrance industry insider" as I spent 21 years creating perfumes for major global brands and working with the biggest Perfume Houses.
While still at P&G, I started my training to become a psychotherapist, and an aromatherapist.

For the past 6 years I have been developing my independent practice, coupling my scent expertise with my psychotherapy practice.
My perfume studio is in a rural location in Northumberlad, where I run workshops and perfume-creation sessions, tend our garden and commune with the thriving Life around me.

My clinical practice as a psychotherapist combines client work mainly with neurodivergent children and young people, tutoring psychotherapy trainees and supervising new therapists.

As my practice has evolved, I have the privilege of working more and more with professionals who want to use scent therapeutically, to provide experiences where scent transports and connects to meaningful places and to Nature. I am now creating scents for the NHS, Museums, Universities, wellbeing practitioners and outreach projects where we are taking Perfume beyond a product: a transformational personal and collective experience.

You can find more information on my website linked in my Bio, or DM for a chat.

We are preparing a super special summer evening at
Our immersive scent walk will allow you to connect with the thriving life in this beautiful place.
Mindfully smelling Nature allow us to experience the reciprocity that allows Life to continue.

The event on the 27th of June is being carefully designed to provide you the space, guidance and inspiration to find a new relationship with Life within and around you. That has been my experience every time I have attended yoga retreats with Sarah and Monica .joy.life -now I have the pleasure to join them to help you discover why your sense of smell is a gateway to wellbeing.

Few spaces left. You can book with Monica or Sarah or contact

The heat is making everything smell delicious.

Both growing and thriving plant-life, as well as anything that may be decaying. It's all interesting to me and Cora -we enjoy all scents, but only she dares eating or rolling on the stinkiest ones 😄

End of May in Northumberland.
So many beautiful scents and sights to experience.

Amongst the wandering around, I have made time to create new accords based on this beautiful part of the world. Scent is an effective way to connect with nature, in a direct emotional way.

Green outdoors, Forest, Soil, Meadow, Coastal Air, Transparent shoots... all will be made available to work with at my upcoming workshops and one to one sessions.

I hope you all are enjoying your time outdoors, breathing deeply and using all your senses -specially the marvellous sense of smell 👃

How amazing this is!

A Mexican researcher, Miguel Angel Lozano Rodriguez, has finally identified the natural pollinator of the vanilla flower.

Vanilla is originally from Mexico, and in all commercial plantations it's always pollinated by a human hand.

It turns out the bees that allowed our ancestors to enjoy vanilla and still pollinate this beautiful orchid in biodiverse environments like the rainforest in Veracruz, Mexico, are the female "orchid bees". These are solitary bees and don't form colonies, cannot be "domesticated". The only way they can thrive, is in natural ecosystems where a variety of trees and plants coexist.

The males collect fragrances from orchid flowers to create their own perfume to attract the females. They also collect aromas from mushrooms, wood and fruit!

Vanilla pods are more expensive than silver on a weight basis -natural vanilla extracts are even more expensive, hence its sparing use in perfumery: the vanilla you smell in your candles and mass market fragrances is always synthetic and a sad attempt to provide the comforting sweet profile that natural vanilla gives.
