A Fond Farewell!

A new season of my life is underway, and sadly being a Doula is no longer the right fit for me. I am so grateful to have been able to do this work, to have witnessed so many new lives enter the world, and watched new families flourish.

Thank you to all my lovely clients and business contacts for making it what is was, with lesson learned, parts of me discovered and grown. It has been a beautiful journey and I hope someday my path will lead back to this world, but for now, a fond farewell to you all.

Things have had a bit of a different pace here at The Birth lately! ��I’ve gone back to riding after a 9.5year hiatus…why the break? Well I had kids and it made sense at the time to give up my bike. Then recently I came to feeling like I was missing something, something that was for me, something that brought me more joy, beyond the joy (and humdrum) of mothering, wife-ing, working, volunteering….so back I went to something I had ‘given up’.

The point of this post is to say; if you have PAUSED something you loved for yourself pre-kids…it will come back around if you want it to. The time will come.

You don’t have to lose yourself to motherhood. You can take time to fill your own cup outside of mother/parent hood without guilt. You will still be a good parent and still love your children. You are entitled to be an individual that is not solely defined by all the roles you play in life.

And for anyone who is interested, I’m on a Triumph Street Triple 765r, she is called Trina and I bloody love her! 🏍️

When you book a birth support package with me and you’re planning a homebirth you get birthing pool hire included! 💦

As an extra perk, I deliver it with something edible, in this case some of my infamous tofu, chocolate and walnut brownies.

I took this snap a while ago, and the pool has since be used and returned back to me. I keep a pool exclusively for birth clients and another to hire out on a ‘pool only’ basis. Get in touch or check my website to find out more about hire packages.
