📍 My office moves around a little. 🤣🌊

I've worked in different parts of the North Sea — from the UK sector to the Dutch sector, and even working out of Denmark.

So when I say I'm heading offshore, there's not always one answer to “where?” 😂

At the minute I'm back on this side of the North Sea, but come November I'll be off somewhere different again.

It's definitely not your average commute. 🤣

Just another little glimpse into the life behind The Soulful Glow. 🤍

Back offshore again... 🌊

A slightly different view from The Soulful Glow today. 🤣

For anyone new around here, when I'm not working on The Soulful Glow, this is the other side of my life.

I work offshore, so life tends to be a bit of a mixture of 12-hour shifts, steel, sea... and apparently taking pictures of the flare because the sky looks pretty. 😂

The flare burns off excess gas — and yes, I did stand looking at it thinking there was probably some sort of deep metaphor in there about releasing what we don't need anymore...

But I'll behave. 🤣

Sometimes a picture can just be a picture.

Just thought I'd share a little glimpse of where I disappear to between being home. 🤍

You can't change a pattern you haven't noticed yet. 🤍

So much of what we do can happen on autopilot.

How we react.
What we tolerate.
The way we speak to ourselves.
How quickly we put everyone else before us.
The things we overthink again and again.

And sometimes we've been doing it for so long, we don't even realise it's a pattern.

That's why becoming more aware of yourself matters.

Not so you can judge yourself.
Not so you can pick yourself apart.
And definitely not so you have another thing to get "right".

Simply so you can begin to notice.

Why did that affect me so much?

Why do I always respond that way?

What am I actually feeling right now?

What do I need?

Because when you start noticing yourself, you give yourself something you didn't have when you were running on autopilot...

A choice. 🤍

And sometimes, that's where change begins.

One small moment of awareness at a time. 🌿

Sometimes the biggest shift starts with simply noticing. 🤍

Noticing the way you speak to yourself.

Noticing when you're saying yes when you really want to say no.

Noticing when you're overthinking something that's already happened.

Noticing when you're putting everyone else's needs before your own.

Noticing when you're exhausted... but still telling yourself to keep going.

We can live in certain patterns for so long that they start to feel normal.

Sometimes we don't even realise we're doing them.

That's why becoming more aware of yourself can be such an important part of healing.

Not so you can judge yourself for what you notice.

Not so you can pick yourself apart.

But because when you begin to recognise your own patterns, you give yourself the opportunity to choose something different.

And sometimes grounding, slowing down, or simply being present for a few minutes gives us enough space to actually notice what's going on inside us.

You don't have to change everything at once.

Sometimes awareness is enough for today. 🤍

There’s something about being outside that can help us come back to ourselves. 🌿

When life feels busy, our minds can be even busier.

Thinking.
Planning.
Worrying.
Replaying conversations.
Thinking about what needs doing next.

Sometimes we don’t even realise how much time we’re spending in our heads.

And that’s where something as simple as connecting with the Earth can help.

Stand on the grass.
Walk along the beach.
Sit against a tree.
Feel the ground underneath you.

Notice the air.
The sounds.
The temperature.
What you can see around you.

It gives your mind somewhere else to go.

Not into the past.
Not into what might happen next.

Just here.

Right now. 🌍

Sometimes coming back down to Earth really can mean exactly that. 🤍

Have you ever heard someone talk about grounding and wondered what they actually mean? 🌿

Grounding, for me, is simply about coming back to yourself and the present moment.

When we're overwhelmed, overthinking or rushing from one thing to another, we can spend so much time in our heads that we barely notice what's happening around us.

Grounding can be as simple as stepping outside, taking your shoes off and feeling the grass beneath your feet.

Slow down.

Notice what you can hear.
Notice what you can see.
Notice how the ground feels beneath you.

You don't need to understand energy.
You don't need to meditate.
And you definitely don't need to know all the spiritual jargon. 🤣

Sometimes it's simply about getting out of your head for a few minutes and coming back to where you are. 🤍

Sometimes we can be in survival mode for so long, we don't even realise we're in it.

We just keep going.

Doing what needs to be done.
Looking after everyone else.
Pushing through.
Telling ourselves we're fine.

And after a while, those ways of coping can become so familiar that we don't even notice them anymore.

Part of healing can simply be becoming aware of the patterns we've fallen into.

Not judging them.
Not beating ourselves up for them.
Just noticing.

Because when we start to recognise our own patterns, we give ourselves the opportunity to choose something different.

Sometimes awareness is where the shift begins. 🤍

One intention at a time.

You can be in survival mode without even realising it.

You still get up.
You still go to work.
You still look after everyone.
You still get everything done.

From the outside, you might look like you're coping really well.

But inside?

You're exhausted.
You're overthinking.
You're reacting to things differently.
You're constantly on edge.
And somewhere along the way, you've stopped checking in with yourself.

Sometimes healing starts with simply noticing.

Noticing the patterns.
Noticing your reactions.
Noticing what you're carrying.
Noticing how long you've been putting yourself last.

Self-awareness isn't about judging yourself for the way you've been coping.

It's about beginning to understand yourself.

Because once you become aware of a pattern, you can begin to choose something different. 🤍

One intention at a time.

When I think about why I've chosen to support women, it goes much further than the woman sitting in front of me.

Because when a woman begins to reconnect with herself, I believe that change has the potential to ripple outwards.

Into the way she speaks to herself.

The way she cares for herself.

The boundaries she creates.

The relationships around her.

And, where she's a mum, even into what her children grow up seeing and learning about their own emotional wellbeing.

My intention with The Soulful Glow isn't to promise that one woman's healing will change an entire family.

It's simply to create a space where change can begin with her.

And perhaps, over time, some of what she learns to give herself — compassion, care, permission to ask for support — becomes something the next generation doesn't have to learn quite so painfully.

That's the ripple I hope to create. 🤍

One woman.
One intention.
One step at a time. 🌿

Why have I chosen to support women through The Soulful Glow?

Because I understand how easy it is for a woman to lose herself while she's busy being everything to everyone else.

To keep going when she's exhausted.

To put other people's needs before her own.

To say "I'm fine" when inside, she knows she doesn't quite feel like herself anymore.

I've had my own struggles and life experiences, and I know how important it can be to have a space where you don't have to hold everything together.

That's why I've chosen to create that space for women.

Not because men don't need support too.

But because this is where my heart is, and these are the women I feel most drawn to supporting.

A space to pause.
A space to reconnect.
A space to remember that you matter too.

One intention at a time. 🤍🌿
