Our ice cream trolley did the rounds today.🍦

Residents picked their favourite flavours and combinations. There were some lovely conversations of their childhoods and the rush outside when ice cream van tune played.

Staying hydrated doesn't have to mean drinking water, sometimes it just looks like this. 😋

A full lounge for our recent RISE exercise class including a little visitor! 🎉

Everyone joined in at their own pace, enjoying some gentle movement. Our exercise classes are about staying active and independent and enjoying each other’s company.

What a lovely day out for Jean, Dennis, Brenda, Lynn and Les at Golden Days Garden Centre. 🍃

Les' wife Carol came along with their grandchildren too which made it even more wonderful.

For Jean, it was a trip down memory lane. She used to visit the Garden Centre all the time with her family and said how grateful she was to be back in a familiar places she's loved for years.

Lunch at the cafe, a wander around the aquarium and an ice cream on the way home. We'll definitely be back soon!

Snowy and Misty from Simply Shetland Ponies trotted in to help us celebrate National Pet Day! 🐴

We’re not sure who enjoyed it more, the ponies or our ladies and gents! So many smiles, gentle strokes and a whole lot of love in the room. These little visitors have a way of bringing out the biggest grins.

A very happy 88th to the lovely Hilda! 🎉

What a way to celebrate. Gary Hirst came along to sing songs we know and love in the lounge.

It was fantastic to see so many residents joining in. Jimmy brought his own microphone and gave a fantastic rendition of Sweet Caroline!

We don’t go halves on celebrations here at Shawcross. 🥰
