Living With Life is a new project started up to help people deal with the grieving process of life’s not so happy moments. Celebrating someone’s life while they are still here with us, communicating the feelings that need to be shared and ultimately making the most of the precious last moments of someone’s life.

• Have you sat and watched helplessly as loved ones suffer? Did they make it through?
• Are your family and friends still battling with depression, anxiety, grief, regret?
• Did the whole situation break down any relationships within your family or friends?
• Do you feel you said goodbye well and made the most of the last few precious moments? These are all questions that arose and aspects that I personally experienced within my whole family, on numerous occasions – I’ve seen and felt the devastating affect this kind of diagnosis can have on the whole family first-hand and whilst I don’t have any medical skills, I have been desperate to make a difference in people’s lives; to inspire, to enrich and to bring some form of relief and lightness at what is such a horrific time. Our new project, Living With Life, was born from the desire to make a difference. Why wait until someone has passed away, to fill their Facebook and Twitter and other social media pages with eulogies? Why waste precious time arguing, being resentful, bitter or angry at what life has so cruelly dealt you? The truth is, there is nothing we can do to change the horrific circumstances of these situations but we can change how families work through them. With the help of trained professionals, we strive to help all the members affected, through the different stages of the grieving process, such as denial and anger. We take them to a place where they can enjoy the precious last days, months or even years; bringing an appreciation for each priceless moment and making the most of every last memory - ultimately being able to say goodbye well! We believe this is important for both the patient suffering and also for the wider circle of family and friends. Living With Life works with all kinds of people from all walks of life, dealing with all kinds of issues – to encourage them and help them Live Life to the max, making the most of each precious moment before it’s too late! Currently, Living With Life is a project running under the Smiths Academy umbrella company – a pilot program is underway to learn what best works overall and how to take the project forward. Once the pilot phase has been completed, Living With Life will be registered as a charity. We are currently looking for people who have had experience of this type of grief to be part of our case studies.
