This month, we are delighted to celebrate two Connect with Kindness winners, who have each received a shopping voucher in recognition of the amazing work they do every day.
🌟 Jo – Supported Living Manager 🌟
Jo has been recognised for her dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to both the people we support and her team. No matter the situation, Jo is always willing to go the extra mile, offering support, guidance, and encouragement wherever it is needed. Her positive attitude, leadership, and caring approach make a real difference and help ensure the people we support receive the very best care and support every day.

Throughout the week at Connect, we’ve had an amazing time building friendships, boosting confidence, and making lasting memories. 🎤💙

From fun karaoke sessions to spending time together, everyone has had the opportunity to socialise, work as a team, develop independence, and freely express themselves in a supportive and welcoming environment.

It’s been wonderful to see everyone encouraging one another, stepping out of their comfort zones, and celebrating what makes each person unique. Here’s to another fantastic week full of laughter, connection, and confidence! 🌟

Something smells delicious at our ISL

Independence is about so much more than just getting things done – it's about building confidence, learning new skills, and enjoying every achievement along the way. 💙

Today our amazing member got hands-on in the kitchen, preparing ingredients, mixing up a delicious bake, and practising excellent food hygiene by washing his hands before getting started. 🧼🍪

Every step taken is another step towards greater independence, confidence, and pride. It's not just about baking – it's about making choices, following routines, developing life skills, and proving what can be achieved with the right support and encouragement.

At ISL, we celebrate every success, no matter how big or small, because these moments help create brighter, more independent futures. We're so proud of the effort, enthusiasm, and determination shown today. Keep smashing it! 🌟👏

Our amazing staff go above and beyond every single day, bringing kindness, patience, and positivity to everything they do. They make sure everyone feels welcomed, valued, and encouraged to enjoy each day to the fullest.

ISL is a HOME not a HOUSE

Not every day is easy, and the last few days have certainly brought their challenges. 💙

Supporting someone through moments of dysregulation takes patience, understanding, consistency, and a team that never gives up. Today was a reminder of why we do what we do.

After some difficult moments, our member was able to regulate, enjoy a peaceful walk around the wetlands, visit the bird hides, spend time with the ducks, and relax with some calming sensory support. Seeing those positive moments makes every bit of hard work worthwhile.

We are incredibly proud of our amazing team, whose dedication, compassion, and commitment never waver. They continue to show up every day, adapting their support to help our members feel safe, valued, and able to thrive.

Progress isn't always a straight line, but every small step forward is worth celebrating. 💚

🌟 What an exciting first day for our service user! 🌟
She had a fantastic day filled with fun, laughter, and lots of new experiences. Throughout the day, she enjoyed a variety of activities including reading, arts and crafts, sensory play, and many other engaging sessions. It was lovely to see her exploring new things, getting involved, and building her confidence as the day went on.
She showed great enthusiasm and curiosity, and it was wonderful to watch her having so much fun while interacting with both activities and staff. From getting creative with art to enjoying sensory experiences, every part of the day brought smiles and positive moments.
We are so pleased that she had such a happy and enjoyable first day with us. We can't wait to welcome her back for more exciting adventures, new friendships, and plenty more fun-filled activities in the weeks ahead. Here's to many more wonderful days and memorable moments together! 😊🎨📚🌈✨

Smiles, laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories... that's what our Day Centre is all about! 💙

Whether it's splashing around in the ball pit, exploring our sensory areas, enjoying activities in the garden, getting creative, heading out into the community, or making a splash during swimming sessions, every day is filled with opportunities to have fun, build confidence, and make lasting friendships.

We believe everyone deserves the chance to enjoy meaningful experiences, discover new interests, and live life to the fullest in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. 🌞🌼
