Leg days are one of my favourites to train! 🦵🔥

Nothing beats that post-leg-day feeling…..stronger, more powerful and definitely a little shaky 😂

✨ Fascia Release: More Than Just a Massage ✨

Did you know your fascia plays a huge role in how your body moves and feels?

Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds your muscles, joints, and organs. When it becomes tight or restricted, it can lead to:
✔️ Muscle tightness
✔️ Reduced flexibility
✔️ Aches and pains
✔️ Poor movement patterns
✔️ Slower recovery

Using targeted fascia release techniques, we can help:
🤲 Improve mobility
🤲 Reduce tension and stiffness
🤲 Increase blood flow
🤲 Support faster recovery
🤲 Help your body move more freely

Whether you’re an athlete, spend hours at a desk, or simply feel tight and restricted, fascia release can make a real difference.

Your body isn’t meant to feel stiff every day give it the care it deserves.

💆‍♀️ Why should you get a Sports Massage?

Sports massage isn’t just for athletes. Whether you spend your day at a desk, train in the gym, run after the kids, or simply wake up feeling stiff, your body works hard every single day.

Here are just a few of the benefits:

✨ Reduces muscle tension and tightness
✨ Improves flexibility and range of motion
✨ Speeds up recovery after exercise
✨ Helps prevent injuries before they happen
✨ Eases aches and pains from everyday life
✨ Improves circulation and promotes healing
✨ Leaves you feeling refreshed, relaxed, and moving better

Don’t wait until you’re in pain to look after your body. Regular sports massage is an investment in your health, recovery, and overall wellbeing.

Your body does so much for you it’s time to return the favour. 💙

Sara struggles with tightness through her upper back and shoulders, so today’s session focused on improving her posture and helping her find movement where she needs it most. ✨

The Mermaid exercise is one of my favourites for this. It encourages mobility through the spine while opening up the chest and shoulders, helping to counteract the effects of sitting, poor posture, and everyday tension.

The goal isn’t just to stretch! it’s to move with control, improve alignment, and leave feeling taller, stronger, and more mobile. 💙

Small, consistent movements can make a huge difference over time.

✨ As a Reformer Pilates Instructor, one thing I never compromise on is technique.

Making sure my clients are performing each movement correctly is so important to me. Good form doesn’t just help you get better results it also reduces the risk of injury and helps you build strength, confidence, and body awareness.

That’s why at OneGym Reformer I keep my classes small, with a maximum of just 4 people, alongside offering private 1:1 sessions. This allows me to give everyone the individual attention, corrections, and encouragement they need throughout their Pilates journey.

You’re never just another face in the room. My priority is to make sure you feel supported, challenged, and confident every step of the way. 💙

If you’ve been thinking about trying Reformer Pilates, I’d love to help you get started.

6 REASONS YOU’RE NOT GETTING MUSCLE DEFINITION FROM PILATES 👀

Pilates is amazing for building strength, improving control and creating that strong, toned feeling…

…but if you’re waiting for visible muscle definition, there may be a few things to consider 👇

1. You’re not progressively challenging your muscles
Your body adapts. If your workouts never become more challenging, your muscles may not be getting enough stimulus to continue developing.

2. You’re not eating enough protein
Muscle needs protein to repair and grow. Try including a source of protein in each meal to support your training.

3. You’re only doing one type of training
Pilates is incredible for strength and muscular endurance, but combining it with progressive resistance training can help you build more muscle.

4. Your body composition may be masking the muscle underneath
You can be strong and have developed muscles without seeing obvious definition. Genetics and body composition play a role too.

5. You’re not being consistent
One workout won’t transform your body. Consistency over time is what creates results.

6. You’re not giving your body time to recover
Muscles need rest, sleep and enough fuel to repair and adapt. Recovery is just as important as the workout itself.

Remember: muscle definition isn’t created by one magic workout.
It comes from the combination of challenging your muscles, fuelling your body, being consistent and allowing yourself to recover. 🤍

Save this for your next Pilates session and send it to someone who needs to hear it ✨

✨ 5 Supplements I Recommend ✨

These are the five supplements I recommend most often to support your overall health and wellbeing. Remember, supplements should complement a balanced diet not replace it.

1. Magnesium
✔️ Supports muscle function & recovery
✔️ Improves sleep quality
✔️ Helps reduce stress
✔️ Supports energy production
✔️ Promotes bone health
✔️ Supports heart health
✔️ Helps regulate blood sugar levels

2. Vitamin D
Especially important in the UK, where we don’t get enough sunlight throughout the year. Vitamin D supports:
☀️ Immune function
☀️ Bone health
☀️ Muscle function
☀️ Mood

3. Omega-3 Fatty Acids
🐟 Helps reduce inflammation
❤️ Supports heart health
🧠 Supports brain function
💪 May aid recovery after exercise

4. Probiotics
🦠 Support gut health
🦠 Improve digestion
🦠 Promote regular bowel movements
🦠 Support a healthy immune system

5. Multivitamin
A good quality multivitamin can help fill nutritional gaps if you’re not consistently eating a varied diet rich in whole foods. It should support not replace a balanced diet.

💚 Always speak to a healthcare professional before starting any new supplements, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take medication.
