Our Letters to Heaven post box is placed outside George Lightfoots Funeral Directors a quiet spot where you can leave your notes, drawings and messages whenever you wish, to send your love to heaven.
Father’s Day can feel so different when the ones we love are no longer walking beside us. There’s an empty space where their voice, their laugh or their quiet comfort used to be but love never truly ends, and memories never fade. 💌
Writing letters to heaven is such a precious way to stay close. You might write to say thank you for lessons taught and moments shared; tell them what’s been happening since they left; ask the questions you still wish you could ask; or simply whisper “I miss you, every single day.” These letters don’t need perfect words or fancy paper they only need to come straight from your heart.Today we hold space for every kind of father figure: dads, grandads, step‑dads, foster dads, uncles, mentors and friends who loved and guided us like fathers. Whether you lost them recently or years ago, your remembering honours them still.
🕊️ A quiet thought & prayer
“May the wind carry our words upward, may the stars hold our memories safe. Wherever you are, know you are loved beyond measure, today and always. Walk softly in peace; we will keep walking in love until we meet again.”
