What a fantastic afternoon supporting Bupa UK at the Broadstone Fair! It was wonderful to see so many people getting involved, with the children (and some brave adults) having lots of fun putting their balance and coordination to the test through our activities.

Balance is something we often take for granted, but as we get older it plays a vital role in maintaining confidence, independence, and helping to reduce the risk of falls. We're passionate about helping people stay active, mobile, and independent for as long as possible.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing the residents coming along and getting involved. Lots of smiles and laughter.

We’re excited to be working alongside salveo forma - Physiotherapy to host a special Falls Prevention Workshop.

This event is open to everyone and completely free to attend, so please feel welcome to come along.

During the session, we’ll be sharing practical falls prevention advice, demonstrating simple exercises to improve strength and balance, and offering the opportunity to have your walking aids checked to ensure they are safe and properly adjusted.

Whether you’re looking to reduce your risk of falling or support someone who is, this is a great chance to learn useful techniques in a friendly and supportive environment.

Thank you to one of our lovely clients and family for taking this video for us to share.

When we first met, this gentleman had just come out of hospital and was bed bound. The family had no care support or therapy upon discharge. His blood pressure was too low to even sit up in bed and he would have a vasovagal (faint) every time he sat up.

We sourced an emergency care package and started gentle bed exercises to help regulate his blood pressure and enable him to sit up and out of bed.

Soon he was up on his feet and able to walk short distances and the care package was no longer needed.

Now his strength and balance are continuing to improve, he can stand unsupported, walk independently with a zimmer and we have lots of fun and laughs along the way.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share your journey with us and we look forward to seeing you continuing to progress. Absolute superstar. 💪🥰

Last week, Kerry and Debbie had the pleasure of delivering a Falls Prevention Workshop at Upton Bay Care Home - Barchester Healthcare.

As a home physiotherapy and occupational therapy service, we’re passionate about helping people stay safe, mobile, and independent in their own environments. It was a fantastic session focused on practical advice, exercises, and building confidence to reduce the risk of falls.

Thank you to the wonderful residents and staff for getting involved— we loved working with you all!
