Uk hotter than Portugal ! 🇬🇧🇵🇹
It’s a dryer heat in Portugal and the lifestyle is adapted to cope with intense heat .. ☀️☀️☀️
Martin and I will be back to the UK 🇬🇧Monday ..

It was a cooler day in Portugal yesterday 🇵🇹with a lovely breeze , so a good day to do the teeth for Ilustre ,his father Don Juan de Cabecao and some of the other Cabecao stallions .. all very well behaved .
Some routine work for the older horses and sharp caps removed from the youngsters as they start their ridden work .

Martin has now got two full sets of equipment ..1 for the Uk and 1 for Portugal with his van in the Uk and a jeep here making it much more flexible to travel and work with a short flight on the Ryan Air bus ✈️

He will be booking in horses monthly in the Uk so please pm here or on Martin J Walls to get organised .

✨ Our 2025/26 BAEDT Council ✨

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all our Council members for their tireless efforts and hard work behind the scenes over the past year. Much of what they do often goes unseen, but their dedication, time, and commitment to the Association are greatly appreciated and certainly do not go unnoticed.

As this Council term comes to an end, we say goodbye to Curtis Thompson and thank him for his valuable contributions and service during his time on Council.

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Sophie Eley to Council and look forward to working with her in the years ahead. 🦷✨

On a recent trip to Portugal we visited our good friends Laura and Guillaume , where I maintain their horses teeth ..
I have been maintaining Bregos teeth since he was in the UK and he has now living on their farm in Portugal .
This month I am back working in the UK and the weather is matching Portugal 🌞☀️🕶️

Hello February… at last 🥳

If you felt January went on forever, you’re not alone.
Rain, mud, more mud, a bit of snow, then more rain, and us horse owners have to keep battling on through it.

As we slowly start edging towards lighter evenings, February is a good moment to pause and check we haven’t missed the basics over winter, including teeth.

After a long, soggy few months, making sure your horse is up to date with their dental care helps ensure they are comfortable and happy heading into spring.

Here’s hoping February is a bit kinder 🤞🏻🐴
