What a wonderful afternoon! 🐝🕯️

Our very first Beeswax Candle Workshop was such a joy. A lovely group, lots of fun, plenty of laughter… and LOTS of candles! 😂

From rolling and moulding to pouring, everyone got stuck in and created something beautiful to take home.

The barn was full of the gorgeous smell of beeswax, happy chatter and a few very proud candle makers by the end of the afternoon. 💛

Thank you to everyone who came along and made our first workshop so special.

We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🌿🕯️

That little moment just before everyone arrives… 🐝🕯️🌿

The barn that would normally see tack being cleaned and polished was hosting a very different kind of afternoon today.

The air still carried that familiar scent of leather and horses, but alongside it was the warm, honeyed smell of beeswax.

Candles were twinkling, cakes were ready, herbal teas were waiting and the benches were all laid out in anticipation.

After weeks of planning, preparing, making, testing and tweaking, everything was finally done.

And then came that lovely, slightly nervous scrunching excitement in my tummy… knowing all the work was finished and there was nothing left to do but open the door and welcome my guests.

This was the very first Soul & Soil beeswax candle workshop.

A quiet moment before the chatter, laughter, warm wax and creativity began.

And honestly? I couldn’t have wished for a more perfect group. 😘🌿🐝🕯️

✨ Our first Soul & Soil Sound Bath ✨

Soul & Soil hosted our very first sound bath, gently easing everybody into a busy bank holiday weekend.

guided us through a beautiful, relaxing experience, with the soothing sounds of the singing bowls filling the barn. The acoustics were simply gorgeous.

I’m in the barn every day, but this was the first time I’d actually laid on the floor and simply appreciated the beams above me. 😬 It’s amazing what you notice when you stop and look at a space in a completely different way.

There was time for a little cup of our own home-grown tea afterwards too — a small taste of Soul & Soil.

And a special thank you to our fabulous Grandies, who took their job as car park attendants very seriously! 😂

Thank you to everyone who came and made our first sound bath such a wonderful evening. It was lovely to share the barn with you.

I’m already looking forward to welcoming you back for our next sound bath evening. 🌿✨

Happy weekend everyone… this is Sunshine, enjoying a sneaky snack. She appears to be at the bottom of the pecking list, never pushing in like the others. I like to give her treats when the bossier ones are out of sight.

Now the bees are settled in, I’ve been expecting to see them all over the garden. However, the lure of the brambles in the hedgerows has taken them further afield.

So I was really chuffed to see this little guy, laden with orange pollen, busy working the tansy. 🌼🐝

Pollen is taken back to the hive to feed the young larvae, while nectar is collected to make honey, providing food and energy for the whole colony. 🍯
