A gentle reminder that behind every self-employed business is a real person.
There is no admin team taking bookings, sending reminders or stepping in if I become unwell or can't work. This is my livelihood. I have bills to pay and food to put on the table, just like everyone else.
My cancellation policy is in place to protect both my time and my income. Every appointment is reserved exclusively for you, meaning that time is no longer available for someone else to book.
When an appointment is cancelled at short notice or missed altogether, I often don't have enough time to fill that space. As a small business, I simply cannot absorb that loss, nor should I be expected to.
Please remember that behind every small business is someone who genuinely cares about their clients and loves what they do.
Most of us didn't choose this work because we wanted to run a business. We chose it because we are caring, intuitive and compassionate people who want to help others feel their best.
Policies are rarely created without reason. More often than not, they exist because experience has shown they are necessary. They are not personal, nor are they intended to be unkind. They are there to protect the business and ensure everyone is treated fairly.
As a small business owner, I understand that cancellation policies can sometimes feel strict, and that is never my intention. They simply allow me to continue doing the work I love and to be here for you when you need me.
When large companies enforce their policies, whether it's a concert ticket, a flight or a hotel booking, it's generally accepted. Small businesses deserve that same understanding and respect.
Thank you for respecting my cancellation policy and for supporting a small business. Your understanding means more than you know.

The extreme heat rapidly consumes you vital qi, and can leave you feeling restless, experiencing nausea, irritability and Insomnia. The internal dampness gets trapped and struggles to find its way out.
A cancellation for tomorrow morning at 10 am has just become available, the cabin is nice and cool in the morning. Please get in touch if you’re in need of some support. I’d be happy to help 👣

This beautiful soul is Emily, one of my favourite clients 🩷she is a 20 year old living with CP and is looking for some additional PA’s to help her navigate her life. Emily is the most amazing young lady, very social, fabulously funny, loves music and films. Emily keeps active with physio and hydrotherapy. She lights up the room where ever she goes. If you think you might be interested in becoming part of Em’s life, let me know and I can put you in touch with her equally fabulous mum. 🙏

By the time your body begins to show symptoms, the imbalance has often been present for a long time.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, illness doesn't appear overnight. Qi (your vital life force) gradually becomes blocked, depleted or out of balance. At first, the signs are subtle. You may feel more tired than usual, become easily irritated, struggle to sleep, feel emotionally overwhelmed, or notice little aches and digestive changes. These whispers are easy to ignore because life gets busy, and we adapt to feeling less than our best.
Over time, what once felt unusual becomes your normal.
Eventually, your body can no longer compensate, and it begins to shout through pain, illness or emotional exhaustion.
This is why reflexology is a journey rather than a quick fix.
With Qi Reflexology, I'm listening to the story your body is telling through your feet. Every treatment helps me understand a little more about where your Qi is flowing freely and where it has become stagnant. As trust develops, your body often becomes more willing to let go of old patterns and begin restoring its natural balance.
Healing is not about forcing change. It's about creating the right conditions for your body to remember what balance feels like.
The treatment you receive in the cabin is only one part of that journey. The choices you make between appointments matter just as much. Small changes to your daily habits, your rest, your nourishment, your breathing, your movement, and how you respond to stress all influence the flow of Qi.
The beautiful thing is that transformation rarely comes from dramatic changes.
It comes from the small things, repeated consistently.
Because when Qi begins to flow freely again, your body remembers how to do what it was always designed to do... heal itself ☯️

We all know words can be harmful, and maybe we all have a little gossip every now and then. Have you ever considered just how much of an effect that can have on us? Have you ever wondered about the reason behind talk like that?
Words have an energetic frequency and these frequencies resonate through every cell in your body. When we speak poorly or criticise we emit a low frequency vibration, this acts as a physical toxin to our internal health. I read an article on it recently from a TCM and 5 elements perspective and thought I would share with you.

Heart- fire element 🔥
The heart meridian opens to the tongue, your words start from here. The heart house our spirit (Shen) and when we speak with animosity we create chaotic heat in the heart. This agitates our spirit and can lead to restlessness, anxiety and palpitations.
talking with kindness is not just “nice” it’s harmonising your own internal frequency 🩷

Liver - wood element🪵
When words become knots.
Negative talk often comes from frustration and frustration is the livers least favourite emotion.
Low vibration words literally knot the flow of energy (qi)
You don’t just feel cranky, you feel physical tension in the neck, chest or the classic lumpmin the throat feeling. Your words can physically stop your flow

Lungs - metal element 🫁
When sadness turns to judgement.
The lungs rule the qi and respiration, they help us let go.
When lung energy is disrupted by unresolved grief or rigidity, the voice becomes cold and cutting. Overtly critical, pessimistic, complaining about others or society. Disturbed metal doesn’t shout it just quietly judges everything.

Kidney - water element 💦
When fear talks first.
the kidneys store our essence (jing) they govern willpower and fear. When kidney energy is weak, we feel insecure. Some people cope by talking negatively about others to feel superior. Drama, comparison, jealousy in speech. All of it is just fear looking for somewhere to go.

Spleen - earth element 🌍
When thoughts get sticky.
Gossip or ruminating over others “faults” can knot the spleen qi. This slows down the transformation and transportation part of the spleen’s role. Our ability to digest both food and emotions becomes heavy and sluggish. Weak earth creates sticky thoughts - creates sticky speech - creates sticky gossip.

None of this is meant to judge people who speak negatively. It’s to help create understanding and help develop compassion. Maybe next time you hear something, you might think why they are talking that way.

Protecting your speech is the art of nourishing life. Your words have power, is your speech nourishing your qi or depleting it?
