**Low back & leg stiffness tonight 👇**

Our testing found that the **left SI joint** was affecting several muscles, including the right re**us abdominis, left QL and left lumbar erectors.

His **right lumbopelvic rotation** was also affected.

After mobilising the SI joint, we retested…

✅ Muscles tested strong
✅ Lumbopelvic rotation improved
✅ **Stiffness completely resolved**

A great reminder that sometimes the area causing the problem isn't necessarily the area where you feel the symptoms.

**Test → Treat → Retest** 🔍

TOS Case Study 🧠💪

A relatively new client came in with right clavicle pain/tightness and nerve symptoms into her fingers.

Using NeuroKinetic Therapy, we found:
➡️ Right middle scalene overworking for left levator scapulae.

After one week, the nerve symptoms had completely gone and she felt much better. 🙌
A stressful day brought back a dull ache, but thankfully no pain or nerve symptoms.

Tonight we found another pattern:
➡️ Right pec minor overworking
➡️ Right subclavius underworking
After addressing this, she felt even better again. 😊

Assess. Find the pattern. Address it. Retest.

Tonight’s client came in with tension through his low back, hamstrings and calves, particularly when sitting at work or driving.

We started with a trunk forward-flexion test. He reached 78° and reported significant tightness through the back of his legs.

We tested different vectors of skin drag and found directions that immediately improved his movement. We taped these directions and retested — forward flexion already felt noticeably easier.
As sitting was one of his main aggravating factors, we used NKT to assess the muscles involved in maintaining that position.
We found the right psoas was overworking for the left psoas.
We used some gentle stretching for the right psoas and activation work for the left before repeating the forward-flexion test.

The result?
78° → 100°

And, more importantly, he reported much less tension through his back and the back of his legs.

Small changes in how the body is working can sometimes make a big difference to movement.

If you’re struggling with persistent tightness or restricted movement, get in touch to see how we can help.

Hip & Knee Issues When Walking

A client came in tonight with hip and knee issues that were affecting the way she walked.
We tested the muscles associated with the knee and found the quadriceps were weak. By applying skin drag in certain directions, we were able to get a much stronger test. We then taped in that direction — and the test remained strong.

We then looked at the hip. She had a tendency towards internal rotation, so we applied a light skin drag to encourage external rotation.
After the session, she noticed an immediate difference in her walking — it felt easier, smoother and more comfortable.

Sometimes small changes in how the body is moving can make a noticeable difference.

BACK STIFFNESS? 👇

One of tonight’s clients came in with stiffness around T11–L2 that had been bothering him.
Using NKT, we identified that his lumbar erectors were overworking for his QLs on both sides.
We worked on the imbalance and then gave him some simple homework to do for a few minutes morning and night to help reinforce the changes.
You don’t always need more stretching or more strengthening — sometimes you need to find what’s actually causing the muscles to work incorrectly.
If you’re struggling with ongoing back stiffness or pain, let’s see if we can help.
