We’re delighted to introduce another fantastic member of the teaching team at the Canine Bowen Technique Training College 🌿

Hannah Sutton, Canine Behaviourist, brings a deep understanding of dog behaviour and emotional wellbeing to the world of Bowen.

Her experience helps highlight how closely linked a dog’s physical comfort and behaviour can be. By combining behavioural insight with gentle, hands-on therapy, students gain a more holistic view of how to support each dog as an individual.

Having Hannah as part of the teaching team adds real depth to the training—reminding us that true wellbeing is about both body and mind 🐾

Why should Bowen practitioners learn Canine Bowen? 🐾🌿

If you already work with Bowen, you understand the power of gentle, precise movements and how they influence the body as a whole. So why stop at humans?

At the Canine Bowen Technique Training College, we offer a fresh, forward-thinking approach to working with dogs—building on your existing Bowen knowledge while expanding your understanding into the canine world.

This isn’t just about learning to apply the same moves to a different body. It’s about deepening your awareness of:
✨ Fascia and whole-body connections
✨ The latest scientific understanding of how the body responds to touch
✨ The role of the nervous system in healing and regulation
✨ Behavioural aspects and how a dog’s emotional state links to physical tension

Our training is designed to bring Bowen into a modern context—combining traditional technique with up-to-date science and a broader, more holistic perspective.

For practitioners ready to think differently, grow their skills, and support both people *and* dogs, this is an exciting next step.

Meet the team

Veterinary surgeon Phoebe Davies is part of the teaching team for Canine Bowen Technique Training College.

With her veterinary knowledge and passion for animal wellbeing, Phoebe brings a valuable perspective to Bowen—helping bridge the gap between conventional veterinary care and gentle, hands-on therapy.

Canine Bowen is a subtle, non-invasive technique that supports dogs with mobility, recovery, and overall balance. Having a vet involved in teaching helps ensure the approach is both informed and supportive of each dog’s individual needs.
