Well… this is a post I’ve been looking forward to posting about for a long time!
After 10 years working in the NHS, I’ve made the decision to leave employed life (as of 1st August 2026), and take the leap into being fully self-employed with JU Physiotherapy.
Since qualifying in 2014, I’ve had the privilege of helping so many people through some of their toughest times. I’ve met incredible patients, worked alongside amazing colleagues, and learned lessons that have helped to shape my physio career.
Leaving the NHS isn’t a decision I’ve taken lightly. It’s a place that has been a huge part of my life and career for over a decade.
But there comes a point where you have to back yourself.
JU Physiotherapy has grown steadily over the last couple of years, and I’m excited (and if I’m honest, a little nervous!) to give it my full focus. This next chapter means I’ll have more appointments available and more time to help people get out of pain, recover from injury, move better, and get back to doing the things they love.
To everyone who has trusted me with their care, supported my business, recommended me to friends and family, or simply followed along on the journey—thank you. It genuinely means a lot.
Here’s to new beginnings, taking chances, and seeing where this next chapter leads. 💙
