☀️ Making the most of the summer at our Home 🌿

There’s been a lovely buzz around our Home recently, with lots of activities for our residents to enjoy. 😊 We’ve been making the most of the sunshine, spending time in our garden chatting with friends and taking part in games like balloon tennis and football. 🎈⚽

Indoors, creativity has been flowing with painting sessions, while karaoke afternoons have had everyone singing and dancing along to their favourite tunes. 🎤

There’s also been plenty of fun with bingo and games of Hungry Turtles, bringing smiles and a bit of friendly competition! 🎲

🍪 Cooking Club fun with homemade shortbread 🍪

Our latest Cooking Club brought plenty of enjoyment as our residents joined our Head Chef Cosmin, along with team members Abbey and Aletta, to make traditional shortbread. 👩‍🍳👩‍🍳

Everyone got involved, from mixing and rolling the dough to cutting shapes and preparing the biscuits for baking. The delicious shortbread was served later in the afternoon with a cup of tea — a well-earned tempting treat! 💛

☀️ Music in the garden at our Home 🎶

With the sun shining and our garden in full bloom, we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon outdoors with our residents, families and team. 🌿

There was plenty of fun with games, bringing everyone together to make the most of the lovely weather. Singer Johnny provided the perfect soundtrack with a fantastic mix of songs, and before long there was singing along, dancing and reminiscing all around. 🎤

An uplifting afternoon filled with fresh air, great company and special moments shared together. 💛

🌟 A special Carers Week celebration 💛

We were proud to mark Carers Week, recognising the incredible contribution of unpaid carers who support loved ones every day. 🌟 Inspired by this, we took time to celebrate and thank our own dedicated team, whose kindness and commitment mean so much to our residents. 😊

Throughout the week, we shared treats, enjoyed a beautiful cake made by our Head Chef Cosmin 🎂, and listened to heartfelt words of appreciation from both our team and residents.

A truly special week of gratitude, recognising everyone who cares so compassionately. 💛

🇬🇧 D-Day celebrations and music 🎶

We welcomed the delightful D-Day Dollies recently for a special celebration, bringing wartime songs and vintage charm to our Home in Woking. 😊✨

Our residents enjoyed singing along to familiar tunes, with the duo’s harmonies and friendly interaction creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere. 🎤

A lovely afternoon filled with memories, music and meaningful reflection. ❤️

🎨 Inspiring ‘Love to Care’ artwork 💛

We recently took part in Nellsar’s Love to Care Art Competition, celebrating kindness, creativity and what makes Princess Christian so special.✨

We are delighted to have won a £100 prize for our thoughtful entry! 😊 Our artwork reflected the importance of compassion, connection and supporting one another every day. A lovely project that truly captured the spirit of our Home.

A fantastic achievement for everyone involved in creating it! 👏

🌼 Bee-friendly creations 🐝

We marked International Bee Day with a thoughtful craft activity, creating simple bee water feeders for our garden. 😊

Our residents enjoyed filling shallow dishes with shells and colourful pebbles, helping to give bees a safe place to land and drink.💧

It was a calm and meaningful session, with time to chat and learn more about the important role bees play in supporting our gardens and local wildlife. 🐝💛

🥕 Cooking Club creates delicious soup 🍲

Residents at our Care Home in Woking enjoyed a lovely Cooking Club session recently, preparing a homemade vegetable soup together. 👩‍🍳

Everyone got involved, peeling and chopping fresh vegetables including carrots, potatoes and onions, and it was wonderful to create something from scratch as a team. 🥔🧅

The soup was served at supper and was a real hit — simple, comforting and full of flavour! 💛

🌸 A lovely day out to Longacres Garden Centre 🌿

Our residents recently enjoyed a relaxing trip to Longacres Garden Centre, taking in the beautiful plants and seasonal displays together. 😊

It was a wonderful change of scenery, with plenty of time to stroll, chat and enjoy the fresh air. 🌼

We finished the visit with tea and cake 🍰 in the café — the perfect ending to a lovely day out!

🏅 Half Marathon PB for our Chef and Nutrition Champion Eduard! 🏃‍♂️

We are so proud of Eduard, who achieved an incredible personal best of 1 hour 31 minutes at the Surrey Half Marathon, representing Nellsar! 🎉

Balancing training alongside his role in our Home is no easy task, but Eduard’s determination and commitment truly shine. ✨ He says the support from our team keeps him motivated every step of the way — and we couldn’t be happier to cheer him on!

Congratulations, Eduard — a fantastic achievement! 🙌
