This Cervical Screening Awareness Week, we're encouraging anyone who is due for cervical screening, has missed an appointment, or hasn't yet responded to their invitation to contact the practice.

We understand there can be many reasons for delaying screening, but we're here to support you. If you have concerns or questions, please speak to a member of our team.

A carer is someone who provides unpaid care to a family member/friend/neighbour who could not manage without their support. If you are an unpaid carer living in Staffordshire, support is available via Staffordshire Together for Carers, who can offer information, advice and support to help you care in a way that works for you.

Support available includes:

✅Carers Assessments & personalised support plans
✅Dedicated support workers
✅1-to-1 and group support
✅Advice, information and guidance
✅Help accessing local services & community resources
✅Support to take breaks from caring
✅Emergency & future planning support
✅Training, skills development & regular newsletters
✅Online carers community & 24/7 CHAT support line
✅Volunteering opportunities

For Young Carers, Staffordshire Together for Carers also provide support with family needs, expressing wishes and feelings, and accessing help in school or college.

🩵As part of Cervical Screening Awareness Week, we would like to invite you to join us at Codsall Library on Monday 8th June, between 1:30pm and 3:30pm.

This informal drop-in event is an opportunity to learn more about cervical screening, including:

• What happens during screening
• Common concerns and questions
• The signs and risks of cervical cancer
• Why screening is so important

Our Cancer Care Coordinator, Health & Wellbeing Coach, and Cervical Screening Lead will be available to offer information and answer any questions you may have in a supportive and friendly environment.

Please note: this event does not replace your cervical screening appointment.
