Huge congratulations to our brilliant Consultant Psychiatrist, Professor Nilamadhab Kar, who has co-edited an important new book exploring the impact of climate change and disasters on mental health.

The book highlights how events like floods and droughts cause long-term mental health challenges, particularly in low- and middle-income countries where support systems are limited.

Professor Kar was also recently named in the global Top 2% Scientists list. We are incredibly lucky to have his world-class expertise right here in the Black Country!

Some big news to share! 📢

We are pleased to announce that Dr Tonye Sikabofori will be joining our team as our new Chief Medical Officer later this year.

Dr Sikabofori is a doctor who cares deeply about helping people and making sure everyone in our community gets the best care. He will lead our medical teams to make sure our services are safe and provide the best support.

Our Chief Executive, Marsha Foster, said: "We are delighted to appoint Tonye as our new Chief Medical Officer. He brings a wealth of experience, a strong commitment to quality and patient safety, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for the people and communities we serve."

We also want to say a huge thank you to Dr Madhava Rao for his hard work while leading our medical team.
