Things you can tell people when you’re actually coming for a massage:

“I have an important appointment.”
(Important to ME)

“I’m at physio.”
(Close enough. Next question.)

“I’ve got a Doctors appointment.”
(My back hurts and Emma has availability. It’s basically an emergency.)

“I’ve got a work commitment.”
(I am committed to working on myself)

“I’m training.”
(Training myself to stop carrying everyone else’s s**t in my shoulders.)

“I’ve got a personal matter to deal with.”
(The personal matter: I’m absolutely knackered.)

“I’m unavailable between 2–3pm.”
(No further questions will be taken at this time.)

“I need to leave early for childcare.”
(The child: me. I need caring for too.)

“I’m working from home.”
(Home is where the massage bed is. Spiritually.)

Your secret is safe with me. 🤫

So many of my clients only book when something is wrong.

“My neck is killing me.”
“I can’t turn my head properly.”
“My back has gone.”
“I’ve had this headache for days.”
“I’m so stressed I feel like I could cry.”

And I get it. Life is busy, we put things off and when we’re feeling okay, looking after our bodies tends to fall further down the list.

But I often wonder why we wait until our body is practically begging for our attention before we give it any.

You don’t have to be in pain to benefit from massage.

You don’t have to be completely burnt out to deserve an hour to switch off.

And you definitely don’t need to wait until that little bit of tension becomes something that’s affecting your everyday life.

Some of my favourite appointments are actually the ones where a client comes in and says…

“Nothing’s particularly wrong. I just knew I needed this.”

Because looking after your body doesn’t always have to be about fixing a problem.

Sometimes, it’s about not letting it get to that point in the first place. 🫶🏼

Not all before & afters tell the same story… and that’s exactly what makes this treatment so fascinating.

These photos were both taken after the same treatment, yet the results look completely different.

Rather than comparing your body to someone else’s, it’s important to understand why this happens. Your lymphatic system, hydration, hormones, stress levels and lifestyle all influence how your body responds.

Massage isn’t just about relaxing muscles.

It’s an opportunity to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with your body. To notice where you’re holding tension. To become aware of your breathing. To remember that your body is constantly communicating with you.

Sometimes the most powerful part of a treatment isn’t what happens to your muscles—it’s remembering how to listen to yourself again.

✨ That’s not just relaxation. That’s reconnection.

Do dads need massages more than mums?

No.

But Father’s Day is coming up, and I happen to sell massage vouchers.

If you’re looking for a gift that’s better than socks, aftershave, or a last-minute petrol station Toblerone, a massage voucher is a great way to treat the dad, grandad, husband, or father figure in your life.

Gift vouchers are available in any amount and can be used towards any treatment.

Message me to arrange yours before Father’s Day 🫶🏼

✨Your body is not something you need to earn the right to love.

It has carried you through every hard day, every joyful moment, every challenge and every triumph.

You deserve care exactly as you are.

Your glutes are one of the hardest working muscle groups in the body 🍑

They support your lower back, hips, posture, walking, lifting, sitting… pretty much everything in daily life. Tight or overworked glutes can contribute to:
✨ Lower back pain
✨ Hip tension
✨ Sciatica-like discomfort
✨ Tight hamstrings
✨ Poor posture and movement

And yes — it is completely OK to ask for glute work during your massage treatment.

At EC Therapy, your comfort is always the priority. Glute massage is performed professionally, with clear communication and appropriate draping at all times, and can make a huge difference when treating lower back, hip, and leg tension.

Never feel awkward asking for the areas your body genuinely needs 🫶🏼

The sleepless nights.
The rejection.
The heartbreak.
The fear.
The pressure of trying to hold everything together while quietly falling apart.

EC Therapy wasn’t built from confidence.
It was built from survival, determination, and the desperate hope that one day life would feel lighter.

There were moments I genuinely didn’t think I could carry on — emotionally, financially, mentally.

But somehow, step by step, appointment by appointment, things changed.

Now I get to wake up every day doing something I love, helping others feel good in themselves while creating a life I’m proud of for me and my daughter ♥️

If you’ve ever supported my business, booked a treatment, shared a post, recommended me, or simply believed in me… thank you. More than you’ll ever know.

And if you’re currently in the part of your story that feels heavy — please don’t give up on yourself 🫶🏼
